How to Insert a Zip and Sew Piping on an Overlocker

I was just doing some research about piping as I’m about to try and add some piping to pyjama bottoms for the first time. Babylock did a video but it made no sense to me whatsoever! Very grateful for how you always explain things in so much detail and also that we can see you actually doing it. Thanks Lucy!

I just tried inserting a #5 zipper with the P5 foot on my Victory overlocker for some kind of pouch. I worked, but the gap between zipper teeth and fabric is almost zero, so stretching outer/lining out of the way when top stitching is necessary, otherwise the zipper pull will catch the fabric. Nice trick though.

I love the demos. I learn so much from them. I have a Husqvarna serger/cover stitch machine and I don’t like it. I have trouble with changing the feet and when I go to change the needles they always fall out and it takes me several times to get them to stay in. Any tips?
