Thank you! I've been desperate for a video like this. Only sorry I didn't see it sooner. I'll be watching all your content from now on.

This was just the video I was looking for (that neither LearnDash or Tin Canny provide). You solved a lot of problems for us, thanks! One questino - if you choose the Lightbox option as we do and you did in the video, then on the course page you have the Open button generated by the file, and also the "Start Course" button generated by learndash but which, in this case, is made inactive. Is there anyway to remove the LearnDash button? This causes confusion for users who see two buttons and don't know which to select.

Glad the video helped! This sounds like a theme specific query, as not all would show a "Start Course" option for LearnDash courses. I know Buddyboss does though. Given this, I expect that the only workaround would be to hide the theme's "Start course" button using CSS.

Great video. Gives me a better understanding. I have got TinCanny Reporting but not really using it to its full potential. You talked about uploading Scorm content generated by other software ie Articulate. All my courses are Learndash courses. Is there a way I can package a particular LD course into a Scorm file so that clients with their own LMS can then integrate/consume? Would I need another plugin. Thanks.

Glad it was helpful! As far as I'm aware there is no way to output LearnDash content into a SCORM format. It would need to be recreated using an authoring tool like Articulate.

Good video. I'm surprised it only has 20 views. I'm curious if there is an interaction between the SCORM output and the LearnDash Lesson. For example, can you pass a grade variable back to the LearnDash lesson? Or can you pass the username from LearnDash to the SCORM?

Thanks for the feedback Adam. Glad you like the video. The TinCanny plugin used in the video captures the xAPI statements from the SCORM, and these are all accessible via the reporting section of the plugin. As far as I'm aware, the only direct interaction between the SCORM and the LearnDash lesson itself is when the SCORM is completed. At this point you can either automatically mark the LearnDash lesson as completed, or set it so that the "Mark as Complete" button only becomes available at this point. I don't think there's an option to pass variables backwards and forwards using TinCanny, but there is a plugin called "Variable Magic for Storyline" that can do this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aanTn4iBhM15j5Y

The Bright Plugin For WordPress will do this; you can have completion in the SCORM course complete the lesson or topic in WordPress.

What if I am unable to access that Tincanny plugin block? I have Tincanny Reporting for LearnDash and the Uncanny Toolkit for Learndash (not the pro version) and still can seem to access those blocks. Thank you.

That's strange. This relates to Tincanny rather than Uncanny Toolkit, but if you are unable to see the block I'd firstly make sure that you have the latest version of Tincanny installed and activated. If you do and it still doesn't work then Uncanny support should be able to advise.

Hi there, Great video thanks! When uploading my SCORM files, I get the error message "Forbidden" when previewing. Any idea how to fix this issue? Thanks!
@TrainingSpark Жыл бұрын
Have you tried heading to the TinCanny settings and setting the "Protect SCORM/Tin Can Modules" to No to see if this makes a difference? That's the only thing I can think of that might cause this.

@@TrainingSpark Hi there, a faulty .htaccess file was the cause of the error. Anyway thank you for your reply!
