I just got my first led LOUPE and I love it. I can see the small beads of water between my fingerprints. Poorly made airtites really aggravate me as they are the major cause of milk or as we call it, SNOW TONING, LOL. This has been great. Thanks so much for making this one my friend.

Ahh very nice. Which loupe did u get?
@TomokosEnterprize7 жыл бұрын
It was a gift and I am not sure on the manufacturer but it is called a "Currency Detecting Microscope" It has a hinge between the LED and 60x Scope. Wicked good. I am really pleased with it.

Yes,that is it. It works great. I have had it now for 3 or 4 months with only one issue that it is powerful enough I have to keep taking my glasses on and off to use it, LOL. And for a buck as advertised I should get a few more eh. It is a great gift for sure.

It is really great at finding those annoying invisible slivers we get too !

Would you dip the entire coin even if only the border/edge has toned? (like the Libertad)
@MrVegiita7 жыл бұрын
hmm.. that's a good question. I guess if u dipped the toned edge area, that area would look really clean, and the rest of the coin might look slightly darker?
@Eli-qr9hc7 жыл бұрын
That's my thought too. Maybe the whole thing (?)

Doesn't using dips like this potentially destroy the value of collector coins?
@MrVegiita7 жыл бұрын
I think it can. Silver Bear just commented saying it ruined some of his junk silver
@jas283277 жыл бұрын
Is it worth the airtite? Like American egales mintage vs kook etc.
@MrVegiita7 жыл бұрын
more or less a personal preference if you have a loose silver eagle b/c the silver eagle rolls are in a tube. No air tites. Most Perth Mint silver comes with air tites.

The German made lenses are typically the best hence the higher price. Realize that the Chinese made magnifiers are not what they claim to be. A 10X Chinese magnifier is really 5x so you'll need to buy a 20X if you want a 10X magnifier. Also repeatedly dipping coins will ruin them so be careful. Each time you dip it a small layer of silver is burned away. Over-dipped coins are known as burnt coins.
@MrVegiita7 жыл бұрын
VG info. Love the German lens quality. Eschenbach is awesome :)
@ZXC_ZXC17 жыл бұрын
I would also avoid dipping proof coins as they easily be ruined drying them off. Never dip a kilo proof coin for this reason. The 35mm Eschenbach magnifier you have is excellent and also runs on AA or AAA batteries rather than coin size.
@MrVegiita7 жыл бұрын
yea, dip ugly bullion if necessary. It takes 2 AA batteries

Hello, hello! please tell me which of the loops did you like Belomo or Eschenbach?
@MrVegiita7 жыл бұрын
I like the Eschenbach Aplanatic lens loupe the best. But it does cost a lot. It's the black one with the red swivel joint. Check best prices here ebay.to/2DC3Wnd
@gorkhan12637 жыл бұрын
between them a big difference?
@gorkhan12637 жыл бұрын
MrVegiita I bought BelOMO but I doubt I think. Is it worth changing to Eschenbach?
@MrVegiita7 жыл бұрын
I have both. Belomo is a good one as well but more affordable. Not a big difference, but the lens on the Eschenbach is very clear. Some people can notice and appreciate the difference in quality so they buy the better one.

On the EZest: I use this product all the time. I love it. BUT, a few coins reacted oddly to the EZest. After dipping these coins (junk silver. Nothing high grade) a film developed on the coin. It made the whole coin milky. Im not sure why. Maybe there was a substance on the coin before hand that reacted to it. Just a heads up to people who are unfamiliar to this product.

I'm quite interested in getting one, so if you have some left let me know and we can get together. thank you sir! I subbed as well, will catch up on your videos!

First off - coins should be removed from capsules, envelopes etc... by gloved hands for inspection...meaning you inspect the naked coin. Use at least a 10x magnifier (loop) of the best quality (if you can afford) under natural light (full spectrum lamp). Zeiss Optics D40 10x Aplanatic Achromatic Pocket Magnifier Loupe is among the best & most expensive but some others are as good or nearly so. Second - if you are a collector (not a bullion flipper) & don't like milk spots, do not buy bullion coins, especially American & Canadian. Best bullion coins I've seen without milk spots is from the Pert Mint...maybe I've been lucky with the Aussies but they actually make interesting & quality coins! If you must buy US or Canadian silver for "collecting"...buy only proof, low mintage silver coins...period! I find mirrored silver coins are more prone to show milk spots than the frosted/matted finish...milky may be hiding there but blends in with frosty! And lastly - buy "Gold"...takes up less space, prettier, better profits & far less of a problem than silver!

thanks for sharing your input. I heard Zeiss is excellent.
