This absolutely works. The moles come up in the neighbours garden, not ours. But it needs to be planted deeper as you can't aerate. Needs to be at least three inches into the ground.

Does the mesh come with the stakes?

Will not work. Moles will pull grass roots thru mesh holes, creating dead grass voids. Be sure to lay soil to a depth of 1-2" over mesh-before relaying or laying new turf (sod). This provides an earth gap to prevent mole root pull thru. Don't lay mesh directly beneath sod!

sbjforever what about the edges? Won’t moles get through along the sides? And how deep down do I dig under grass when I lift and roll it so I don’t hurt roots but don’t get too much dirt? Thx

Moles are carnivores. If something's eating your grass, it's not moles.

@@brinaburke9853 Moles don't eat plants, but their digging can disturb roots, which kills plants. That's why the dead grass trail can be seen.

It can't work, the moles will just lift the net up, it'll never be taut enough. especially as the rain will soak the earth and the pins will never hold the net down. If any barrier is going to work, it must be vertical and down to at least a foot.

Vertical and horizontal?

this method does not work. not sure what next. I am avoiding metal cause most wires contain lead to prevent corrosion and I am looking to plant vegetables.
