I just installed that same fan today. If you live in an apartment or condo. make sure your manager installs it for you. As our old fans we're probably 60 years old. And barely even working. A suggestion I tell everybody is by some dryer venting. You'll need self tapping screws. And you'll need more aluminum tape. Forget about the sensor it's a pain in the butt. A normal switch will do. I can understand if you live in a hot climate. That would probably be different. Installing it in an older house. You do not really have to go up in the attic if there's a vent there already. You can install it from down below. The cutout to measure your whole with. Is a little bit too small. So make the whole tiny bit bigger. Make sure to use the wooden straps or plastic straps behind the drywall. I also suggest getting drywall screws. Because they hold better than the screws they give you. The sensor is not the greatest. You can set the fan at a certain time and for how many minutes by touching the button. Had a guaranteed if your kids get ahold of it it's going to be broken within a week. So don't worry about it use a normal switch, most of the light switches in Canada are outside the bathroom. Making this moisture switch inoperable. If you have switches inside your bathroom. I say go ahead. Would I installed a switch with new wiring inside my bathroom. know hell no it would cost way too much money to do that.

So much easier if you have the framing installed. Replacing an existing fan is so much harder.

Hi, I have the same fan but with a light build in FL300-2W HOW do I connect wires?

We had this fan installed during our bathroom renovation. The fan itself is spining and turns on but it has no suction, its nit clearing any moisture at all. Any ideas what may have gone wrong? Our old one was working before we replaced, we just decided to upgrade but now the bathroom mirrors fog up in under a minute with the shower on

If the wireing is correct and if it turns the right way it should work correctly.

My fan keeps running. Idk why? When I turn it off the led turns off but the fan is still running. Is it the humidity? But when i install just a regular switch i can turn on and off the fan.
@renovationschool88182 жыл бұрын
Yes , the switch sences dampness, or maybe its faulty.

How long the fan will turn off? Or can i just turn the switch manually just like a regular switch?
@renovationschool88182 жыл бұрын
It stays on as long as it sences the moisture , if the switch is faulty thats a different story.

You can adjust sensitivity as needed. Read your manual you'll find how
