After a new faucet install (Kohler Cursiva) the base on the cold handle turned with the handle. I called support with no help but to send me a new faucet. I have loosened and tightened this for a solid week. Looking to see on KZbin for any known issues...you fixed my problem in about 5 seconds. The directions do not tell you to tighten the base from the top...all fixed! THANK YOU!!!! And wife thanks you...she has heard me cussing this whole time. 🙌❤❤❤🍻

Love the rating system! I recommend you remove the faucet screen filter before turning the water on for the first time. This will avoid it clogging.

He definitely should have shown that because that's where I got stuck. I never knew basin wrenches even existed

Very well explained. Great video and thank you. It helped me a lot before tackling both sinks

Loved it. Thanks. But I always put the locking clamp so that it contains the lift strap when installing it to the ball rod (so it can't slid off the ball rod or get jammed by moving further onto the ball rod). To do this, put one side of the clamp onto the ball rod, then the lift strap, then the other end of the clamp and move it to the right location. In this way, the lift strap stays secured. Also, it is easier to put the tape onto the ball thread before installing the drain. Thanks again. I always read directions, watch your video to help me understand the directions, then install reading the directions again.

Can you recommend a widespread *" faucet that has a spout like 7 or 8"? I want the faucet to pour or aim closer to the middle of the sink vs the back wall of the sink. Thank you.

Great video, your commentary was a little too fast for me, and I am one of those 'reluctant' ones that you mentioned, especially when it comes to replacing plumbing hardware. Finally, thanks for educating non-tech people like us.

Hello Mr. Akhund, if you find videos are a little too fast for you to keep up with, KZbin has a play feature that lets you slow the speed of a video. I'd suggest turning the speed down to 75% if you need more time to understand what a video is saying. Good luck!

My faucet specifically said not to use plumbers putty or it will ruin the faucet finish. I should have did a video for you on removing an old faucet. It is not easy to get in a small cabinet.
@robertp9297 Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the great explanations. Perhaps, in the future, you might make a "trouble-shooting video" (old, rusted parts, bad seals, other common obstacles to a clean install). .. I'm a the point where the old faucet's retaining nuts are so difficult to reach, that I'm considering removing the sink, installing new faucet, then re-installing the sink. Sounds like fun, right? (I'm actually dreading it). Thanks again for the nice video.

Can you change fixtures on a fully inclosed Roman tub without pulling the tub out??? Like switch steel fixtures for black matte?? Tub has no entry or access panel. That’s what I would like to see. Most plumbers say it cannot be done without cutting a whole in the wall! What do you say??
@ilyabibik588 Жыл бұрын
Biggest problem to remove the old one , usually installing new one is the easy part. Plumber putty often not mandatory for the faucet. Follow instructions.

Thanks for doing this video. Every home owner should be able to install their own faucets. It's really not that difficult. I'm surprised that most home owners can change out the locks on their homes but won't tackle something like a faucet or toilet.

Replacing old faucet with no lock off valve at the sink have to turn off main house lock off
@wbwbz5274 жыл бұрын
Two questions: you showed that the water lines were "clicked" tight to the center piece. How to "unclick" it if I need to remove it? The second question is water is so slow out of mine. Is it the problem with the aerator? How to remove it and clean it? We do have exact the same Meon faucet in your show. Thanks.
@MrFixItDIY4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can remove the aerator using a small flat head screwdriver. You can pry it out relatively easily. To remove the lines there is a small black button on the side of the lines. You depress that and pull.

You are going 50 miles a minute, this is not the way to help a newbie learn. Also, you are not showing steps on camera, if you have never done this before, this video is not going to help much.

How much should plumbers charge to install this because it seems like this current plumber installing my mother’s faucets is ripping her off just cuz she’s an old lady who doesn’t hear well or understand.. seems like he’s just taking advantage of her! I wish I knew how to do this myself. It irritates me when plumbers like these try to take advantage of old ladies like her 🤦🏻♀️

@rabheron70792 жыл бұрын
Most people watching this video are looking and they aren’t going to do it themselves because they don’t know what these parts are, you have a shot of yea a few basic tools, and then you go through a step by step process rapidly naming off all this stuff and parts that people may or may not know what is going on. Slow it down, go through a checklist of what you actually need and is the easiest most cost effective way part by part before doing anything. Most tech class programs have been taking out of our schools now, and unfortunately you have to break everything down Barney style man. I had to in the Marine Corps. Trust me a check list. Parts list, and function of how parts work will take your KZbin videos a long way.
