You sir are a genius and I really appreciate your video, for the longest time I've wanted to do this exact thing to my icb tote. Thanks for the confidence builder 👍😉

Thanks so much for the broom handle trick. This is exactly what I needed to watch. My bulkhead fitting on the bottom of my tank is stripped and I need to replace it.

Friendly tip: you really don’t need the 3rd hole/fitting. You can come out of both tanks and tee into one pipe to the pump. They will both fill and empty equally.

I'm using 2, 55 gallon barrels will i require a special bulk head for the rounded sides to prevent leaking? Rylie
@ExpertPowerWash2 жыл бұрын
For some reason this comment showed up late. I wouldn’t recommend a round barrel. It could work I guess.

Great video.. you are plumbing two 100 gal tanks together to make a 200 gal tank? Can you show the plumbing at bottom to join both together when done... Thankyou👊🏻
@ExpertPowerWash4 жыл бұрын
Yes to make a 200 gallon tank. Thought about just getting a 200 gallon tank but this way will reduce the sloshing around when driving with water. Stay tuned, I’ll update it. Waiting on a few parts. Thanks for watching.

What are the model numbers of those 100 gallon tanks and where did you get them? I'm in Georgia.

PWS-WD100CMT. They are called Water Dragon 100 gallon water tanks from Power Wash Store. They are only available through them.

Does the tank have to be 100gal or more to work? Do you know an inexpensive place to get tanks from
@ExpertPowerWash2 жыл бұрын
Too many variables. Depends on the machine pulling the water. There is no inexpensive place to get tanks. I can recommend an IBC tote as a good value option.
@CaliforniaDreaming6194 жыл бұрын
Great video! Let us know how difficult it was to get all those shavings out? Wondering if install the bull heads first and then rinsing out would make sense. Hope it cleans up easy.
@ExpertPowerWash4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. It will clean up easy. I have commercial wet/dry vac with a longer wand that will suck everything out.

I'm putting together a rig and have two 55 gallon tanks. For the buffer tank bulkhead fitting, do you use any sort of teflon tape or glue to seal the fitting? Thanks in advance.
@ExpertPowerWash3 жыл бұрын
The bulk head seals it self. As for the threads, I use true blue.
@sharriceowens9132 жыл бұрын
So it doesn't have to be over 100gal to gravity feed?

Great video , Where can I purchase the bulk head fitting and attachment for the drill ?
@ExpertPowerWash4 жыл бұрын
I get my bulkheads from grainger. They sell the nice banjo brand. You may also be able to find them local at hardware stores. I’m sure Amazon has them too. I have a set of Milwaukee hole saws from Home Depot. The Hole saw is the attachment that goes on the drill. Very handy. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@ExpertPowerWash4 жыл бұрын
New Jersey Window & Gutter Cleaning LLC it would probably cost more than you want to spend. If still interested, you could email me expertpowerwash@gmail.com. I would honestly recommend Arkansas Softwash Kits, Gen 2 soft wash kit, or Pressure Teks set up. All good setups. You will probably be around $1500 unless you build it yourself.

Im useing a jobe valve they want it mounted on the side at the top im scared off leeking feel lik i should drill the top of the tank not the side ???

The bulkheads do hold well regardless of side or top. I just like mine in the top.

The tanks are $250 each. To ship them even more. Luckily there was someone in my area heading to the Power Wash Store.
@simplycleanpressurewashing7584 жыл бұрын
Expert Power Wash okay, I live about 3 hours from the store in Nashville, so I guess I could pick them up. I heard it cost a bunch to ship, so...

We sell them in Portland, OR or you could try Panhandle Power Wash Supply in FL

@MannyAguilarJr2 жыл бұрын
For those in the future. You can put the usual stuff on top of one or the other or mix or both doubling up. They're connected at the bottom and will fill up at the same time.

What size drill bit do I use for a 1” bulk head ?
@ExpertPowerWash4 жыл бұрын
I don’t remember the exact size. Some are different depending on the brand. I’d buy a set because you will eventually need other sizes. It’s more expensive to buy them separate. Think I paid $30 for a Milwaukee set. It’s getting close to the holidays, you will see them on sale at Home Depot. Hope that helps.

Why not use an IBC tank? They hold more water, and are cheap... Also, what's with the pulsing the drill and holesaw on and off? Idiots do it that way. Rather than using a broom handle, use a garden hose to poke through the drilled hole, and slide the fitting down the hose and into the hole. Your way worked, but a hose will bend and that's easier. IBC tanks are cheap, since companies ship liquids around and often have them surplus for low costs. I can get a 250 gallon IBC in FL for $100 or so.
@MannyAguilarJr2 жыл бұрын
For those in the future. There's more than one way to do everything. Also it's said in an older comment that it's to help reduce water sloshing around.
