Thanks for checking out the video. I hope you like the new custom wrap which completes the transformation of the #BattleWagon into version 3.0! As many of you likely know, I’ve owned this machine since it was brand new in 2017 and it’s evolved quite a bit over the years. I’m really happy with how it’s setup now and can’t wait to beat on it all season so stay tuned! Leave a comment and let me know what you think of the wrap!

I have met people with "new" machines and they seem to always have problems with them..... mostly belts. Of course I am 60 years old and only trail but if my beer gets spilt I am going too fast !!!!! ... LMAO ... I love my stock clutching and only upgraded weaknesses like radius rods, tie rods, S&B air filter, arched a-arms with Stage 2 AA flash. Sitting on 30" Carnivores does everything I ask of her. As a retired Boeing aircraft mechanic I am sensitive to what the engineers expect this machine to do and do my best not to exceed that. I NEVER want to be THAT guy who always breaks down ...... You are still the King of content and I can speak for everyone when I say thank you for the hard work !!!!! 🙂

@@TheAmerican1963 thanks for the thoughtful positive feedback, I really appreciate it. You make some valid points, a lot of people have unrealistic expectations on what a machine should handle. If you abuse a machine, modify things improperly and ignore maintaining it then it doesn’t matter what it is or who makes it, it will fail. I beat on my machine pretty hard at times but I also maintain it meticulously. It’s never let me down in a way where it’s left me stranded. There’s 1000 ways to build a SXS and everyone will do it differently based on what they want or like. I still think the most important part is just getting out and enjoying yourself. Sometimes changing too many things actually has negative effects. You hear all these “experts” complaining about how things are built or setup from the factory thinking they are better engineers then the people who developed these machines. I’m not saying that the engineers are perfect but they have specific targets and requirements they need to address for a mass produced unit like this. Sometimes people’s don’t realize that. Those who use and modify these machines logically are usually very satisfied overall. Really happy to hear you enjoy the content. I always look forward to your comments. Ride safe and have fun man!!!

Nice job. I’ve done lots of wraps and I use WD-40 to remove left over glue. Big tip….. take a bottle of water and add few drops of dish soap and mist back of sticker then apply. So much easier and better results. Also i use a heat gun during application. **** Wipe area with alcohol and compressed air before applying each piece.
@AdrenalineJunkieProd
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
Hey man. Thanks for the feedback. Citrus based adhesive remover works way better in my experience then WD40. Especially for tough adhesives. The residue is also easier to clean. I use a heat gun after and go around and do all the contours and edges. I mention that in the video. The heat gun makes a huge difference in how well the wrap stays on. With all these panels being mostly flat I didn’t really feel I needed the heat gun for application. When you do automotive wraps heat is incredibly important to help stretch the vinyl around contours. You have to be careful with heat on an Offroad wrap because the vinyl reacts differently to heat then the over laminate layer. As for the wet application. Others have suggested that too. I’m gonna give it a try in the future. The majority of new vinyls for automotive recommend dry application. However, I can see how certain areas on this project may have been easier to wet apply. I’m gonna experiment with it next time and see.

@@AdrenalineJunkieProd definitely going to purchase some of the citrus stuff. Looks like it works well and cleans up easier then the WD-40.

1200-1500 to install!!!! WTF!?!?!?! That's whack! $100 an hour and they want to take 15 hours.... That's insane. Some places need a reality check. A skilled "professional" who does this stuff fulltime should be able to hammer out an install like this in 4-6 hours. As long as the machine is prepped. If they need to prep it could take a bit longer but if they think it will take them 15 hours I'd run out of their business laughing.

You use soapy water for thin vinyl so it won't rip stretch or tear. But thicker off road vinyls don't need this, and hold up better and last longer with out soap water and Windex, as if you trap moisture in there and it goes to sub zero temperatures it will spider crack the vinyl

@@barretthepburn7873 it’s personal preference. I don’t like using soapy water for the same reason I wouldn’t use a cleaning product like windex.
