In the RO installation option, why should the waste line from RO connect to the waste line of the beverage faucet? Wouldn't it be easier to connect the RO waste line to the saddle drain so that the wastewater from RO directly flows into the drainpipe? By the steps you explained in the video, the wastewater from RO will go to the beverage faucet and then flow to the saddle drain via the drain line. Feels like an extra unnecessary step. Please help understand.

Hello Sreedharan! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. The waste line from the reverse osmosis unit is going to the air gap integrated into the beverage faucet, and then from the air gap down to the drain pipe. The air gap is necessary, and required in most areas, to prevent drain water backing into the filter system and fresh water supply.
