Can this valve be opened and its seal replaced? I say the white seal on the inside.

The coil might be upside down. Depending on the size machine you are working on one valve spins clockwise and the other counterclockwise. Just remove the (2) 1/4 screws on top of coil and flip being careful not to overtighten.

I have removed my first 2 dexter drain valves for cleaning and testing. I am concerned because I found essentially the same stainless half round clip lodged in both of them (from 2 different machines.) Is this a part in the valve that has failed requiring a change of the body, or do you think it has migrated to the valve from upstream? I could send you a picture of it if you want. FYI.. I got into this because the washers were showing F2 codes, even after I serviced the inlet sediment screens. The washers seem OK after cleaning and reassembly, but F2 codes persist and I'm just plain worried now. Thanks!

Andy Parker Dexter washers have short lasting diaphragms in the water valves which when needing replaced might only allow a trickling of water in. Have you found this to be true?

It's a bra wire. Very common. Comes from customer clothes
