I guess in terms of handling this is the best approach, rather than going for a spring/coilover setup

Depends on what you want. Sway bars are only noticeable when you are turning, they do not affect your ride quality. Springs and coilovers lower your center of gravity and will be noticeable at all times. Just consider what you are using the car for. I daily my car and encounter lots of speed bumps so I did not want to lower it because of that, but sway bars allows me to have better handling with out that compromise in height.

Nice upgrade. Did the front and rear sway bars allow you to take corners faster than stock or is it mostly better handling and better body control? I'm wondering also if stickier tires help get cornering speeds up due to the stiffer setup and possibly more mechanical grip?

I take it u need to drop the subframe even to change the bushes ? I was considering adding powerflex polyurethane bushes ??

thoughts on the Dinan sway bars? I have KW coilovers aswell. Dinan says the rear is a ridiculous 400% stiffness in the rear, but I'm thinking of just doing the front to take out a little roll.

Quick question Fritz, after installation on both front and rear sway bars did you find your rear tires losing traction when going up driveways?

No I haven't experienced that. The sway bars shouldn't impact traction in those situations

HEY! Looks like there was a ton of moisture in the brake fluid so we flushed it. Now we just have to wait for the next rain to some and see what happens.

Is it ok to replace the subframe like this? With just holding the engine by the front lift point? Will the engine be held by the transmission?

Yes. The subframe is still supported be the rear subframe bolts and the engine support brace hold the engine from the front while the jack is extra support from the middle. It's the same technique shops use except they use a transmission jack.

Actually, that hasn't crossed my mind. Going to finish up the rear sway bar and a few maintenance items.

Don't you have to pre load the sway bars before you tighten the sway bar to the end links?

Good question. From what I found that is not necessary because the relative distance remains constant as well as the nature of the ball joint itself allows for minimal tension while the wheels are pointed forward.

And how much better does it handle now? Did you consider h&r before going for the tuner swaybar kit?

Definitely less body roll and better turn in. I looked into h&r, but when these are on sale they're cheaper and larger. Full review coming soon
