Does this work for asphalt as well?
@JamesMontana3 жыл бұрын
No this wont work on asphalt. You will need to dig a hole in the ground and repair the tarmac after.

I have a concrete drive and want a 4 ft walk through gate beside my house, 8ft double gate to the right of that and it will tie into my privacy fence. Will these support the 4 post needed for my gates? Or would I be better off renting a core drill and drilling the post holes in the concrete and then use a small auger bit to drill the ground to get proper depth and concrete the post in the ground like my others?
@JamesMontana3 жыл бұрын
@@superbazooka213 i really wouldn't hang any size gate off these. Youre much better off drilling into the concrete and setting a post.

Yeah so if you resin the hole before inserting the bolt it will adhere to the edges not the dust. Stronger fixing.

Definitely concrete it into the ground. Make sure to slightly mound the concrete around the bottom of the post to allow water run off.

I thought about this after the wind brought down my six foot fence and one of the concrete re enforced posts with it. Then I thought no, the wind will just rock it loose in no time and the rain will rot the fence post at the bottom, alright for small light fences I suppose....
