How did you change out the lower grille molding garnish from the chrome black to Carbon Fiber? I need to replace mine since the wrap or whatever is starting to lift. Is it possible to do it w/o removing the whole front bumper??? I just haven’t seen anyone cover this anywhere with video. Thanks

Hello! Mine is an overlay, so I didn’t need to remove the bumper to add it. However, if you’d like to replace the whole piece you have to remove the bumper to do so.

I believe the front bumper is somewhat interchangeable. But I’d look around on club Lexus forums or something alike for a solid answer.

I have the 2017 fsport conversion bumper on my 2007 is250, I put the lip on last Sunday and by Monday I hit a tire on the freeway and destroyed the lip and bumper 😂 just got the new bumper put on Friday and I’m not sure on whether a lip is bad luck or not lol

could you have done nuts and bolts or do you think for the lip, self tapping is better? i know you and others have done nuts and bolts for the side skirts instead of self tapping screws. asking because i have installed an MV Tuning TRD Pro style front lip, and my next project is to make my own splitter out of 1/4" ABS Plastic. I've never taken my bumper off so I'm researching for now what might be the best way to attach the splitter to my car is. At first I figured self tapping would be easiest but now I'm wondering if nuts and bolts is the way to go.

The main reason that I do self tappers for the front lip is so I don’t have to remove the front bumper every time I need to replace or take off the lip. The bumper tabs on these bumpers get worn down with repetitive removals. And the self tappers seem to hold it on there really well anyway. 🙂

I’m on RSR Superdowns. It’s stiffer than OEM and allows for way less body roll. I enjoy it. It’s definitely low though. So you have to be careful when driving.

Hello! To spool up the turbo, make sure the car is in drive. The firmly press the brake pedal with your left foot. The while it’s held down, press the gas firmly for a second you should see your RPM get to about 2,000), then quickly release ONLY the gas pedal. That should work! 🙂

@@Saimon-23 No, while driving, I’d recommend picking a higher gear (keeping your rpm around 2-3k), then smashing the throttle and releasing it shortly after. It’ll allow the turbo to spool, without letting the rpm shoot up too quickly.

Hello! Unfortunately, this exact lip only fits the 2017-2020. But you can use this same process to install a lip that fits your bumper 🙂.
