How to install a gas tube into a gas block

Imagine having no idea how to swap a gas block, assuming it's easy AF, trying to figure out how to get a too-big roll pin through the too-small roll pin hole, sweating, cussing, crying.....then finding this FREAKING KING on the KZbins! Bro this video is a panty dropper! Thank you!

Awesome that worked wayyy better, I also used some hoppes 9 gun oil, a drop on the pin and a drop in the pin hole, slid right in no problem

I use a toothpick as slave pin to make sure the hole doesn’t get misaligned as I start punching

Nice, I'm definitely gonna practice this many times as the first couple tries I mushroomed the roll pin. Probably the most frustrating pin to install when building if you ask me. I plan on fashioning a jig/setblock for future installs though.

Flat face channel locks with masking tape over the face. Equal pressure from the side of the block to the roll pin, prevents using a jig

How tight do you need to clamp the block into the vise? I don't want to mess up the ends!!

Tight enough so it'll hold it and not move. You don't want to gorilla it in there.

I use just a smudge of grease goes right in. You can also have someone hold a punch through the bottom of the gas block/tube to help guide the roll pin through properly

You forgot after you blow to feel for air and proper alignment that if you feel a tap on the top of your head to keep blowing 😊
