Hi yes it is but this way you can tap into the speakers and not go through the icc unit maximising the aftermarket headunit tuning capabilities

@@mavsonline Thanks.. should the speaker wires be the same colour all the way to the speaker as i'm having difficulty locating the blue and green one. and the only twisted pair i saw was pink and a purple one..

One is quick and easy install with the aid of the harness, the other way if you know what you're doing with the wire you can bypass the icc unit.

G'day Mavs, I'm trying to put my Power-Acoustic PB454B head unit in my BF Fairmont 06' and on the head unit it has +,- rear left, +,- rear right (4wires per side) how would I go about splicing into the car wires as I notice you only splice into 1 +,- per side, cheers for any help Mav !!

Jake Walker thanks you can fine the right front from the driver's the other are behind the glove box the colors are front right are greys the front left are orange, the rear ladt are pink the rear right are blues

Hi there. I'm trying to hook-up a Sony amp to my wifes stock HU in her 2010 Territory. I've sussed out the speaker hook-up, but am trying to source an Amp or Antenna trigger wire from the stock Head Unit. Can you advise which wire to use. She has the same stock ICC as in this video. Thanks

I have 07 territory and got pioneer head unit installed with RCA from factory amp. I recently bought separate Kenwood amp and Kiceker Sub. The RCA connected to the head unit from amp. Now If I connected amp I can't get the sounds through speakers. If I connected speakers i can't get subwoofer on. Need your help. How do i connect them all?

The factory ICC is not supposed to switch to aux when you power up the aftermarket headunit.

Ok thanks so i have to manually switch it over to AU ? I noticed when i went through the modes i had FM, fm1, cd and such but no au i know i had AU when i had the audio jack for an mp3 player i had au and when i had my handsfree connected it would automatically go to au.. I was hoping that the aftermarket was switched on it would go to automatically to au as it has bluetooth handsfree in the stereo. @@mavsonline

Have you hold the am button? Or have you got the correct plugs if not I can send you a link maybe you can incorporate that into your install

I know this is fairly old now, but I have did everything in this vid to a tee, but I have an issue, every time I hit source on the pioneer head unit, it blows the fuse on the mobile connections in the Territory, I have no idea why, I have tested to make sure the 3 leads are in the plug are correct, constant, power and grn, constant is on like it suppose to be and power is off when it suppose to be, any idea on what maybe wrong? and the head unit works fine as i took it out of my other car to put in this, the fuse for the mobile in the Territory is 7.5amps, do you think I should install say a 10amp and would it fix this issue?

Sounds like there's a internal short somewhere that has to be rectify, I don't recommend upgrading the fuse as it could problems to other circuits unless it's the last option but turn down the volume right down before turning the unit back on again

It's made to work with BA BF and territory Ghia or not as long as it's not a FG chassis

Tevita Fehoko hey if your worried about sound quality is your main concern then change to a aftermarket head unit it will have more tuning capabilities and more power output

Removed the factory unit because its broken and replaced it with an identical one from wreckers. Put it all back and tried to start engine. Engine wouldn’t start. Can someone help me with this. Thank you.

Yeah you have to get the exact same one, ICC have to be code to your key from ford. Make sure you don't turn the ICC unit upsides down.
