Highly suggest putting in some braces up top between your ceiling joices to prevent too much movement on the single joice you have the bag bolted into. Also will help distribute the load so that single joice doesnt start to sagg over time. just a tip from a contractor :)

What kind of braces? And could I do this in my garage of apartment/townhouse?
@scoutrenegade67612 жыл бұрын
They are called noggins. Depends on what kind of joists you have, but a 2x4 between them would do it. Your roof probably already has these.

For those of us in apartments would you ever recommend a heavy bag with a stand or perhaps a reflex bag is a better choice?
@Jonathan_80524 жыл бұрын
Michael Forbes personally I’d recommend you get a free standing bag if you’re in an apartment. If that’s not your style then you can get a bag with a stand but make sure you weigh the stand down so it doesn’t sway and come off the ground with the momentum of the bag (or you could fix it to the stand by tying it to the legs so it doesn’t sway). Now if that’s not an option then get a cobra bag or a double end bag.
@loslosthuy4 жыл бұрын
Try the Per4m quick punch on amazon for a double end bag, I used one in our condo as the upstairs unit and never got a complaint. Pretty cheap too. Csquared actually does a review on it as well.
@tuffgong25684 жыл бұрын
@@loslosthuy I think that is ultimately the best choice, between possible drywall damage from hanging a double bag and the noise of a heavy bag in an apartment building, that makes the most fiscal and practical sense.
