In today's video, I will show you how to install a Kies Motorsports charge pipe on a F series BMW with the B46/B48 engine. I did it on my 2017 BMW 330i but this process is similar for most F generation BMWs with the B46/B48.

Thanks for the great content. I just installed a ftp inlet pipe and evolution racewerks charge pipe and my 2018 430i b46 feels slower now. I figured opening up the breathing passages would help but throttle response seems a tad more sluggish.

That shouldn’t be the case. Mine felt slightly sharper. Is everything nice and tight? Gaskets seated correctly? You might have a leak

@ayyyman_ yessir everything was triple checked extra careful with gaskets and especially the green one transferring over to the new one. I did Second guess the c clamp connection to the turbo but I've tugged and pulled during and after installation and it's all good. No weird sounds either. It's my wife's daily and she said I'm crazy the car did not get slower lol said it's me. It is scheduled to go to my friends shop this week for a catless downpipe figured IL ask him to check for any leaks. Thanks for getting back to me!

That $290 price for theirs seems high, especially when comparing to other aluminum options available from Other sources that run in the $180 for the same design and materials. Any reason why one should spend the extra $100 on Kies? (Other than brand loyalty)

@@baby_king9ine don’t assume, I don’t have time to respond to every single comment but to answer the question, Kies is a team who engineers, develops, quality tests and stands by their products with a US based customer service team. I’m sure you can always find cheaper (that’s the case for any product). But at that point you’re probably getting a product from China that’s just copying another company’s products and has no customer service so if you have issues, you’re just stuck with it. I’ve been there before where I just went with the cheapest and I’ve learned that for me, it’s not worth it. I’d rather go with a company that can stand by their products and worse case scenario, will allow me to return it or help me over the phone with it

If I understand your question correctly, yes. The two pipes did not actually touch on mine. The coupler just linked them together. As long as you can connect the turbo and the throttle body, I wouldn’t stress the space in the cupler

Do you mean all engines across different BMW models? If so, according to Kies it’ll fit all F and G generation BMWs with the B46/B48

I don’t think it was THAT common for BMW to issue a recall. It was more common on the N55 and N20s, I’m surprised no recall was issued for those

So basically, what I'm hearing is, buy an intake at the same time so you have more access to the turbo side of the charge pipe while you have the intake tube off anyway; and definitely not because you just want an excuse to also buy an intake.

Make sure you tighten the meth injection holes nuts, might was lose them leaks the blow by oil😅
