Other than using silicone for the seam where epoxy should be used, you should never hammer your sink anchors in on the faucet side without adequate support underneath. It is very fragile there .You can crack that area very easily with a hammer blow. I would suggest using 4 saw horses to support the counter top. I would also use a rubber mallet vs. a framing hammer. Fantastic video other than those two tiny points.

10 videos until I watched yours... Thanks very much!!! They always show countertops installation then a shot with a sink with tap already installed. For a dummy "like me" (but that was before this video)... I always install the tap after the sink has been installed. It is then too hard to install the tap as there is a limited space between the sink and the wall, most especially for 10-12" deep sink. Of course now I know that you have to install not just the sink but the tap as well and just position it in the prepared wood base for it. BTW, I see that in any event I need to replace an old tap, I might have to encounter the same problem for access though, limited space to work on. .. although as I type, I realized: why not a very long screw driver for easier access?? Toinks! !!! We just get clever each day or as the minute passes by, eh?
@ShaneHolly7 жыл бұрын
Those anchors get pushed out when screw goes past anchor.. Also did you epoxy them in to place? Did you under size the hole? What size are they 7/16?

you don t use montaj silicon for the sink u just route the wood so that the sink stays inside and has support and whatever you do you don t do it in that clotes :). almost forgot.. what is the use of the glasses when you open the 35mm hile for the tap? you can t injure your eyes doing that

Everything except for the seam (joint) looks good. You need a two part epoxy to get that nice and tight. Also doesnt hurt to level it up with shims under the counter.

+Luis Solla I was referring to the cupboard in the corner. In this day and age there are proper corner cupboards that can be purchased so you do not lose the space in the corner. So it's not just the way it is!! If you do an internet search you will see base corner units are available so the space is not wasted.

use color match polyurethane cauking for the sink and back walls to help water proof it, and use silicone under the cabinet after you lay the top down, 6-8 inches (for easy future removal and to save your cabinets) to avoid taping your wood finish.
@anothersomebody81954 жыл бұрын
Do you mean you wouldn't glue the top of the structure, rather you lay the top on it first, then you calk from below at the joint, so if you ever wanted to remove you would just score the joint with a blade and lift?
@Em350z6 жыл бұрын
everything was fine until that SEAM why did you not used the right Seam Rejointner Epoxy? you cant use silicone or Caulk ? and would it make it a whole piece thats small piece on the side.

Your sink is going to leak unless you put silicone or plumbers putty around your basket strainer. The pipe going into the wall is your trap arm, and then there's your P-trap. When putting that together you probably should have told people about the ferals and where to put them in which way to face them because that's the biggest mistake people make when hooking up a P-trap. And you seem to have forgotten your escutcheons behind your angle stops

1/ wrong boring tool and it’s wrong using a drill. You’ll have to use an angle grinder with variable speed. The boring tool has to be diamond core drill bit specially mounted on grinders. Will stop short here your advise is WRONG your Technique is wrong go back to school or the field.
