Thank you! the first 30 seconds of your video showed me what ALL the other videos failed to, so after watching all the other videos, i still had no idea how the drive shaft connection worked.

Hey, thanks, Bullitt! You are a life saver! I just got a new BX2370,and I took the deck off to grease it. Couldn't get it back on! Mistake number one: I did on gravel. That deck is heavy, and it sunk right in. Very tough to move. I should have had the wheels a little higher, too. But my real challenge was re-connecting the PTO. For the life of me, I could not do it. I knew it was something really simple that I was missing. Your video helped me just by showing how you pull back on the ring. You have a good style of explaining things, and your video is clear and easy. Thanks for taking the time to help out newbies like me!

Corn Puff Thanks for the kind words Corn Puff. I am glad the video helped you. I grease the deck on the tractor. The PTO shaft is a little hard to grease hooked up.

Thanks for posting. This is the best video I have seen regarding installing a Kubota mower deck for the BS serious. Better than the Messicks video.

Thank you, this video is very helpful. I bought a new BX2360 four years ago and never put the mower deck on. I have only used the front end loader. This will help when my old mower wears out and I have to use the BX. Thanks again.

Thanks for this video. It was a great help, especially the pto attachment. For some reason I thought I did a different way before, and maybe I did, but this way is much easier.

Thanks for the great video, it was very helpful. We went through all the steps to attach the mower deck successfully. We are now having trouble with the PTO disengaging when the mower is running and the tractor is moving. Initially, this happened after a few minutes of mowing, but now the PTO immediately disengages when the tractor begins to move. It is kicking off strongly. Any suggestions on how to address this? Thanks again!
@TractorTech9 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks, I'm glad the video helped. Is the PTO just disengaging or is the engine shutting off too? Is the PTO lever popping back up or is it staying down? Are you pushing the PTO lever to the left to lock it in place? Is there any debris around the PTO lever? Are the bolts (between the left rear tire and frame) tight on the lever? Is it full of hydraulic oil? I believe the PTO engages off hydraulic pressure.

Could you show the position of your whole body when installing the PTO? Are you laying perpendicular or bending over? I cannot get a good position because it seems so tight under the tractor that it is very difficult to the it connected. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I finally did get it on and it was very difficult. I only wish that I could install this in under 2:00. :)

I am down on my knees perpendicular to the tractor. I'll make another video installing the deck with a better angle of getting the PTO shaft on and I'll give some tips.

I just finished dog this myself for the first time (with the help of this vid!). Was not pleasant...lol I ended up in the same position that +94BULLITT described. Was on the tractor's left side, on knees, perpendicular, used left hand. Again, not peasant. I think I'll be able to shave some time off with practice tho.

As with another user, having a heck of a time getting the rear linkage arms to line up. After they dropped down, I had to manually wiggle and move the arm up/down while wiggling the deck to get one into position where the pin could be applied. Then the other side would appear lined up but not enough. Things seemed jammed. Can you possible post a good view of where exactly the adjustment screw should be in relation to the arms and do they go down onto the deck or does the deck go into place from the side of the arm?
@TractorTech5 жыл бұрын
I doubt it is an adjustment issue. Try to have the deck on a level surface when you are installing it. Also when you put the deck under the tractor, try to have it square. It sounds like deck was too far too one side not allowing the linkage to go down. Here is a video on leveling the deck. These are the only adjustments on deck. kzbin.info/www/bejne/epyXnJV6et1lg68

My front link keeps slipping off after I finish install and try to use the deck. The pin appears secure. Any thoughts?
@TractorTech3 жыл бұрын
Are you using the right holes on the tractor? Does the spring on the pin feel strong?
@kapler793 жыл бұрын
@@TractorTech I think I've found the issue; the spring isn't latching properly through the hole of the front link bracket. Hopefully nothing has gotten bent/damaged to create misalignment.

I have been having a terrible time getting the linkage arms to attach. I can only get one side of the other, not both. Any tips for this?

The deck could be sitting a little too far foward or backward on one side, or a little to the left or right.
@Scarekrow248 жыл бұрын
I had to fight with that thing for 30 minutes. was easy to remove, but when i went to install it the hitch arms were very reluctant to come down, i hard to get a bar of steel and pry them down but they finally came down. after i got the deck installed it raised and lowered normally.. what could have been the problem?
@TractorTech8 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Scurlock Is it a new tractor? Maybe paint was making the lift arms bind.
@Scarekrow248 жыл бұрын
+94BULLITT it's 2 years old. first deck removal though. It's working fine now but I fear taking the deck off again for the next filter change.
@TractorTech8 жыл бұрын
Is the speed control valve (the knob in the middle of the tractor, under the seat, close to the floorboard) for the 3 point hitch almost shut off? With out any weight on it and it turned most of the way off it come down very slow but with the weight of the deck it would be fine.
@Scarekrow248 жыл бұрын
I did try to turn it towards faster but It wouldn't turn so I figured it was at max or stuck.

PITA ! I don’t know if a Deere is any better, but I hate these decks! Buyers remorse!
@TractorTech4 жыл бұрын
Really what do you have trouble with?
@davidhorne23264 жыл бұрын
Tractor Tech lots of aggravating things, castor wheels hitting the tires, the vertical bolts(adjuster?) on the deck, the detents not holding in their notches. And then there’s the drive shaft! Sometimes it goes right on, and others @“$?#%. I have had other mowers that were never this difficult. I got rid of a Scag zero to buy the bx, due to having to cut areas where I need 4wd.

It would be nice if it was this easy to attach, on the ground and not on a nice concrete floor.
@TractorTech7 жыл бұрын
It is not bad to do on the ground. The big thing is be sitting on a level place and rotate the wheels.

Man you people are whiners! This stuff is EASY! You should have grown up in the 70's like I did when it was a real pain in the backside to attach anything to a tractor. Most things took at least 2 people sometimes 3. Setups like these are EASY! You people dont know what hard is!
