You make learning so much easier. A beautiful way of putting a zipper together with the lining. love it! To me, you are one of the better teachers on KZbin. many thanks!

I have seen similar tutorials with this method on other channels, but Marina.....no one teaches like you do! I swear you have absolutely changed my life. My only struggle is having two small toddlers and not enough sewing time. But then again you keep teaching me new things and I have time to study them over and over so when I do sew it's so much more productive! I truly appreciate everything you have given us on your channel and with your patterns : )

+Marina Brumpton (Frocks and Frolics) Totally! I used to feel like sewing was something I just couldn't do, but finding all the answers on your channel makes it so exciting to see any pattern and know what the heck to do lol. I make so many lovely things because of your help 😀. Once the kiddos are bigger sewing will get back to being a daily thing. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you and your channel!

OMG...what a great way to put in a zipper. wish I lived near you for classes....

Thanks so much! This is so neat. I can easily use this for the back of a dress or skirt. I don't like it at all when the zipper pull is visible at the top. This technique gives a nice finish.

+AfroTee It does, not my favourite though lol. I think I do another zip next week....

I have been doing zippers for 50 years....and never did them that way....you make it look harder than it is

+Trayne1837 Oh dear Trayne, not sure how to respond. It's always hard to rethink what you are doing when you have your own habits. The workshop videos really aren't about easy, but about learning how its done in industry, teaching yourself to sew like a professional, which I am. I organised production lines, taught and improved efficiency for businesses. But maybe I am missing a trick here, send me some pics of your open zip technique. It would be awesome to see something new which works. No homemade looks here though lol.

+Marina Brumpton (Frocks and Frolics) No , your technique is fine... and I just learned how to do zippers many years ago in home economic's class.... and pardon me, they never looked homemade., that's for sure.. others can be professional, whether are in business or not.. many of us take pride in our sewing without having learn from professionals instructors.

+Trayne1837 Ahh, I am sure they look super, and Home Economics, that takes me back a bit too. That's what I used to teach before it became Design & Technology and then Product Design. Send me a picture of your technique honestly I am not avers to learning new stuff. You never stop learning and I picked up some simple tricks right here on you tube. Could you sew the zip into the lining and main fabric all at once like a sandwich? Or would this cause problems.? Loving the sessions.
