Make sure to wrap your wires clockwise around the screw. That way when you tighten the screw it works with the direction of the wire, not against. Also when u say to wrap tape around ground wire...if you are using a metal box, the ground wire should get grounded to it(if the switch doesnt have its own ground screw)

@austinjackson In a metal box the ground wire must be grounded to it, regardless of whether the switch has a ground screw or not.

It's a single pole switch, it doesn't matter which hot wire goes to which screw. The ground wires must have a wire nut or a crimp connector. If you had a metal box the ground wire would be bonded with a green grounding screw to the box and joined with the other wire and the ground screw on the switch. There's no need to tape up the ground wires since they are already fastened to the box.
