How to install a lightweight crank pulley in a WRX plus review

Not sure if this helps. But what helped me remove the old crank pulley after I took out the bolt (instead of using just my hands) getting a really long flathead, wedge it between in the tiny gap behind it, and a rubber mallet and using the alternator as a pivot to hammer out the pulley. Rotate your hammering as needed and only hammer away from the motor for best results. So like a few taps on the left, then the center, on the right, etc.. Be careful not to damage the timing belt case tho 🥲 I made a slight crack on it but I think I'll be fine.

If the car is automatic, should I put it in drive with the e brake on. To get the pulley off?

Wouldn't a breaker bar made it easier to get the bolt out?
