Very useful. I had new flooring put down in my bathroom. When it was finished, somehow the the Hot and Cold on the mixing valve leading to water valves were backward. Watching this video showed me that most mixing valves work under the same principal as mine.

I couldn't get a compression fitting to not leak. I purchased a 6" hose on Amazon.

Just for a future reference you should never use copper ferrules on polly water line. Only plastic ferrules. copper ones will actually cut into the plastic polly

Thanks, that actually makes a lot of sense. I’ll have to take a look around and see if they sell the plastic ones individually. It seems like they always come with copper ones

No problem 🙂Yeah all your compression fittings and angle stops typically come with a copper ferrell and if you use copper pipe then you would use the copper Ferrell I don't believe they sell the plastic ferrells individually they typically come in like a pack of 10 but they're really cheap cost-wise

How do you make cold water get colder

My problem is not that water gets too hot but opposite, when my wife is grooming a dog and I use sink in kitchen and call for hot water, she always complains that her water goes cold... Will this help? Same install?

No this would not help that situation. Think of it like this analogy: You and your wife are standing in line for cookies, you are ahead of her, so when you are at the counter taking all the cookies, she gets nothing and has to wait until you are done. You “take” all the hot water because your faucet is ahead of her grooming bathtub in the line.

@@shoyrushoyru We got it fixed, we bought an equalization valve at local plumbing store, now when I call for water this valve does something that she doesn't even notice I am using water 😊👍

Why do people have their entire house sooo hot???? It takes Forever to get hot water when u have it sooo high. I like to have my hot water at 104 and then u can full blast the hot and u get hot water so much faster and u dont need to set temp makes on all the mixing valves.
