This is honestly such a great video you just made me feel so much more assured. When I first started building my PC and I put the CPU and the RAM and all that stuff into the motherboard everything went so smooth and easy, but when it came to connecting the cables I started sweating buckets. My confidence is now restored, thank you so much!

This just made building a PC, so much easier. My confidence level just got boosted(in PC Building). It makes more sense now, the cable bit was the most confusing portion of building a PC.

First time builder here thanks for the info it saved me a tonne of time telling me each cable does as my power supply had everything conected to it so was figuring out what each cable was for lol and whether or not they all had to be connected in.

@@user-mk4or5yu9r Depending on the case you would insert the PSU either in the bottom in the back (most commonly). The PSU or case should also come with screws that will let you secure the PSU in place.

There are so many cords! Why this many? Why the heck can't it be like , say, a power strip, with all the ports in a row? I admit, I'm easily intimidated by new tech related tasks, but this feels like it's more elaborate than it needs to be. Thank you for making the video; this will help.

There are modular PSUs out there with removable connectors, so i guess that solves it lol

i remember watching this for my first pc build at 13 in august 2020, can confirm if 13 year old me was able to follow this video then most likely anyone can. i still come back to this video whenever i get a new pc/parts.

Nice work again! Perhaps mention that all of the cables are keyed so that there's only one right way to insert them on the motherboard? You can easily determine which way a cable needs to go by either comparing the socket with the plug, or just looking for where the clip locks onto the socket. SATA cables have an L-shape for both power and data connections.

Thank you so much for the help! I just bought a new PSU recently and I was so confused by the CPU and PCI-E cables, even if they had written on them (very clever idea from Segotep) I didn't knew what to insert on the motherboard between these two, in that moment I searched for it on KZbin and this video comes in the first place! 👍🏼

Great video, but I’m building a PC rn and the owner is using intagrated graphics so I have nothing to plug in the PCie cables and now it doesn’t turn on

I had finished installing my own, different brand powerful supply, and for some reason my pc still wasn't turning on. Your video helped me to go over what I had done and replace some cables that were plugged in to the wrong place. My pc is now running! Thank you for this video and information!

I noticed today a burn smell coming from my pc, turned it off and then tried to reboot. No display but the fans and lights still work. I noticed the psu red voltage switch in the back looked a lil burnt. What should i do?

Replace your power supply immediately and dont turn the pc back on until you do
