Just one point, on long rides off road (800kms+), I’m finding that the bolts into the axle are loosening. I’m now using loctite instead of grease for these bolts. Apart from that, no issues! Great racks!

Thanks for the feedback. Are you using the supplied lock washers on those bolts?
@EvidenceofaFabulousLife2 жыл бұрын
@@OldManMountainRacks yes, overcame the lock washers. We’re talking quite well loaded with two ortleib panniers and rough ground. Just a dab of blue loctite is enough to stop them backing out. 👍

@@EvidenceofaFabulousLife Good solve and thanks for the feedback. Just be sure to stick to BLUE Loctite. haha.

Hi, I've got a Super 73 RX, will this kit work for that?

Always have loved your racks, but I generally only recommend mounting heavy loads to the lowers after exhausting other options, including a rigid fork. I would love to see more options that mounted to the crown or above which would allow that suspension to be way more useful. Understanding that it’s better to have the weight lower, ive wondered if a bearing system could be incorporated onto the lower to provide stability while still allowing relative movement of a far lower unsprung weight.

Just a heads up: I found putting five pounds per side on the front-mounted Divide rack on my front suspension made the steering CRAZY UNSTABLE. If you mount this on suspension, put only light items--clothing, etc. in there. I had a serious tail-wagging-the-dog feel when I had weight in front panniers. No bueno!
