The reason being I live in Las Vegas. It's hot here and I would like to use my oven in the summertime and my wife hates the noisy microwave fan that comes with the house. i am in a wheelchair i can stand up but the fan hood is to high an so i want one with remote so i can sit and cook i wanted a fan with a light the fan itself outside in the chimney so no fan noise Merry Christmas to all wheelchair larry

This is exactly what I was looking for on how to transition mine! Perfect! Except.....DUDE where are your safety glasses??? As Norm Abram says - there is no more important safety rule than to wear these: safety glasses.

Thanks for such a great video and exactly what I need to do with my new hood installation. The audio on your video however cut out for me when in a couple of spots. I pretty much get it watching just the video, but you may want to check the audio. Audio stopped on inside shots at 5:02 - 7:03 and at 10:41 - 17:16

Awesome. I did know the audio was bad but I hated to take down the video. glad I could help and thanks for watching.

@@MattFreytag Sorry you had to do that. You should repost because I followed the video (even though the lost audio), did it and it worked out great. I'm sure it could someone else

I love that crown moulding I put up my chimney but it don't have no moulding hmmmm
@gracieluker4232 жыл бұрын
What is the best way to cut the existing crown moulding? I.e. where the chimney meets the wall/ceiling
@MattFreytag2 жыл бұрын
Good question. I use a square and draw a square vertical line and cut it with my Ridgid Oscillating tool with a goo wood cutting blade. Thanks for the question and I hope this helps.

Could you Please tell me what brand hood you bought?
@MattFreytag2 жыл бұрын
I believe this one was a Samsung but I have a similar one at my house that is z-line brand. They are super nice and affordable.
@Dominican_Kimmy2 жыл бұрын
What color did you paint it? Color of the ceiling, wall or cabinet?
@MattFreytag2 жыл бұрын
I painted it the same color as the crown moulding in the house. The vent hood is stainless steel once I took off the white protective film.
@jasonadams64422 жыл бұрын
Spray some white conversion varnish and you have a custom finished product. Nice job
@MattFreytag2 жыл бұрын
That’s what I use on all cabinetry I do. ML Campbell products. The crown will just get latex like the rest of the trim in the house and all the white plastic comes off the chimney and range hood to expose the stainless finish. Thanks for watching and commenting bro.

When I was a young kid my dad would use the pencil truck to show me where to cope. I also like that you cut your crown flat I’m not sure why everybody doesn’t do that
@MattFreytag2 жыл бұрын
@@jasonadams6442 That’s cool. It works even better when the trim isn’t primed and you can’t see a defined line where to cope. I also don’t understand why people don’t cut with the material laying flat. It’s way more consistent than holding it up at an angle.
