+Blake Wilson in the US all we had was the sc430 (v8 - cool!) only available in auto Trans, and the sc300 (manual gearbox - cool!) but with a seriously underpowered, n/a 1jz. So basically both models had mad potential but were just done completely wrong bc when Japanese cars came to the US in the 90s they were never as cool as the original version. Sad stuff, sir. Sad stuff.

fellowship of the goat I don't have experience with this, but I'm guessing that a bolted in cage is less likely to be damaged since bolts may break or shift a bit rather than deform with the car. They did say most of the time when the car gets messed up these cages are still good.

Depends on the amount of bolts and strength of them I guess. Welding seams can crack over time too after moving around in a car for a few years, bolts only get tighter at that point.

I hear you. Not sure about structured and rehearsed, just seems like they have lost that hunger, starting out creates, which is sometimes lost by success. They did Super gramps, though I don't know who names a car after a guy, especially an older guy, (first love?), but an awesome car. Then the bug, and the mini, and then they just seemed to jump the shark, so to speak with their 2sexy vs wasabi nonsense. It just seemed to be a very passive aggressive way to go after guys who don't have a team of guys like Turbo Yoda et al, behind them, and a budget to match. Moog especially. Very elitist/snobby attitude about it. I'm just getting kind of tired of the homoerotic "I want to touch his bum and talk about balls all the time' silliness. SG, the Double U, the Mini, the Sleeper, that was some good quality stuff. Almost 2 million subs, (sadly not 1 of them), and almost 400,000 views in 48 hours, you kind of expect better.
