Thank you so much for this video. Now I can understand when builders are putting my place back together.

I'm not sure what part of the world you're in but have a look at the Freebird assembly square for screwing carcasses together. It's incredible

Smashed it! If you read this I have a question: how does your of1400 deal with oak worktops? Is it powerful enough and how many passes do you tend to take for the joins? Thanks!!
@CAVjoinery29 күн бұрын
On solid wood i do 4 passes but always use a new router bit for every new project
@Supernova09727 күн бұрын
yeah I tend to change the bit after 2 joins on laminate too, thanks for responding!

Where can i buy the green jigs to hold the pieces ?
@Matthew-r2uАй бұрын
Hi I've watched lots of your videos. Regarding scribing of the fillers. I see you use a compass in many videos. I have tried it. And then try my best to cut and plane to the line. But I can not get it perfectly. It's likely just a matter of practice. But cutting to the line or cutting the line completely is one thing I am unsure about. I've tried many times. I have begun even to think that the uscribe I bought from eBay, a cheaper 3d printed model may be the cause as perhaps it doesn't 90 degrees the pieces when I attach.
@CAVjoinery29 күн бұрын
You have to be sure when you screw them on to the filler piece the are 90 than some times the cabinet may not be parallel to the wall u scribing or the wave is different next to the filler piece than is where u actually scribing the other what i do is cut the exess to the pencil line than i shave the line if the wall is too wave i do 2 dry fit and take a bit more each time

Does the door cover the entire width of the cabinet in a way that they almost touch or there's a small gap? Not sure why but the door touch each other when I make them close at the center...even when I leave a 2 mm gap between the two doors.
@CAVjoinery13 күн бұрын
No the door should be smaller 2.5mm all around for ex the cab is 720 by 600 the door will be 715 by 595mm
@CAVjoinery13 күн бұрын
They sould not touch each other because the will be a gap of 5mm between them 2.5 from each door
@lesleywillis6177Ай бұрын
I made one of them once. Couldn’t stand it up as the ceiling was too low!😂. Had to take it to pieces again.

Could you not move the sockets up above the drawer? So at least they can be used
@CAVjoinery29 күн бұрын
No i am not an electrician i give them an option to ask the electrician to move it up but i thibnk we going to install a grommet on top of the drawer pack

@ thanks for replying. Your work is amazing
@console.886Ай бұрын
Why do you put separate modules with drawers inside and not make it on the main ones?
@CAVjoinery29 күн бұрын
Because they will be hitting the hinges so to build a separat unit will be more complicated to install and to build as well more costy
@GreasedDolphinАй бұрын
Building cabinets on site sucks so bad. I try to avoid as much as I can. Sometimes you have to modify and basically rebuild them but man I feel your pain trying to put big boxes together in a tiny room. Even worse when there’s no power
