Ultimately the door is fixed to the top track by four small screws and because they are checked into the top of the door they are fixed into chipboard ! It’s a lot of work for what it is and in hindsight i would have just fixed the top plate onto the surface to get a bite on the hardwood and hid the detail with a pelmet. I would only use this product again if the bottom part of the design was changed as machining such an amount out of the bottom of a door is time consuming and again leaves you with chipboard ! This is a lot to do for a undersized piece of plastic and I would recommend that this detail is better thought out . I have fitted many doors in my time but I would never recommend only using four small screws to do the job !

Does the door slot neatly into the opening or does it sit 25mm back from it? There not a close up of the door fully closed so we can see if there are gaps for the draughts to come through.

Hi Pat, this is dependent on the opening size, but we recommend the door overlaps by 40mm to limit draughts and light spill.

Hi Henderson, I have the same rail installed for around 15 year, before the door could close shut, but now it cant close fully and has a 10-15 mm gap to close the door. I need help, is there anyway that I can correct this?

Can the bolts be used invertedly, locking them into the nylon top plate from the underside, instead of cutting the door?

Good afternoon, Marathon caters for doors weighing up to 90kg and features a one piece ball cage design whereas Husky Sliding caters for doors weighing up to 100kg and comes with a choice of aluminium, anodised aluminium or steel track. Both systems offer a smooth and quiet operation. To recommend a particular system we would need to know more about the application for example, opening size, number of doors and door weight.
