How to Install a Smart Siren 2 on a 2018 Harley Ultra Limited / Test and Sound Check

We are installing Harley's Smart Siren 2 on our 2018 Ultra Limited.
At the end we give it a quick test to see how it sounds

On my 2017 Ultra Limited, the instructions that came with my siren kit said to attach the antenna wire to the top of the electrical caddy, right above the turn signal security module. The mounting location that you used was for the prior non Rushmore bikes. The info is shown on page 15 of the latest installation instructions. You probably got the old instructions with your siren kit. It has a cleaner look that way. But as long as it works, that's all that matters.

Great video, just picked up a siren kit for my 2020 48 but the instructions state you need a service manual and a electrical diagnostic manual not wanting to screw up some a sensor or something so I needed to check this out and viewing your video clearly harley are being cheeky and you don't....thanks..JD

Just bought this for my SGS. I agree with most people, for the price of the bike you would think H-D could include what? Under $100 for them to make. An alarm that has a siren. That said, I paid the Harley tax. Piece of mind is worth it. Ride safe and thanks for the video.

You're right, Harley should include it! It is worth the peace of mind, especially when we are on a trip. After a ride the other day, I forgot and set the key fob inside the house. Went back out to put the bike in the garage. It's a loud siren! Lol Should definitely deter someone.

I have this and want to disable it, can you tell me how? It's very annoying at 7am and goes off, changed the batteries in fob, still not working right.

At minute mark 2:50 I mention the plug that connects to the siren. If you unplug that it should disable the siren. Good Luck

I have read that if the antenna isn't in the right place or picking up interference it can cause issues. Don't know if that's accurate or not.

Our FOB doesn't have any buttons either. The pager I purchased for the alarm does, though. The alarm itself is silent (at least on the later models). Now Harley makes you purchase the siren if you want it, and it works in conjunction with the alarm. It's my understanding that once the FOB is close enough to the bike, the alarm will stop.

Also do u have any idea about a pager that can be bought to be used with this siren where you will get an alert in ur pocket as well ?

On the Ultra, the siren works in conjunction with the security system on the bike. Which will sound if the bike is disturbed when the key fob isn't close to the motorcycle. The pager is a seperate item that can be purchased and it will sound and vibrate to let you know if someone is moving your motorcycle. Works great for overnight stays! Thanks for watching

It doesn't require a remote or pager to operate. It will sound a siren when someone tries to move bike. The pager is an extra that will alert you if someone moves your bike, but you have to be within a specific distance. I don't know if it works with the 883. Thanks for watching!

Yes, being close to the bike will disarm the alarm.

The bike comes with a security system that will stop the bike from running if the key fob isn't recognized, but the siren sounds when someone moves the bike. Hopefully, it will deter them from stealing it.

MotorcycleDen I found the plug and click it into the spot and it works just fine. Smh they wanted $154 to do. It took me longer to find the plug then to install it. I have a Softail slim and the plug is basically on the right side right up again the rear splash guard. Take the one Allen head bolt out and push the guard back and it comes right out.

What a stupid idea put a security system in without an alarm cheep from the key fob or any alarm sound should some lowlife try to steal your bike,, just flashing indicators . you don't have to pay Harley's price either aftermarket siren's are available for a fraction of the price complete with wiring instructions.. Harley claim its customers who they say have been requesting the alarm noises be switched off??? what utter rubbish!

The Blue Bike & Doyle it came with security system where it detects if the bike is moved. When that is detected, the lights will flash and I think it will disable the ignition. All the siren does is when the security system detects movement the siren will then sound. You get 2 seperate warning chirps then if there is movement again you get a continuous siren sound. For as much as it cost, should have came with the siren!
