How to install a TaylorMade Driver Adapter

How I installed a new TaylorMade adapter on a driver shaft.

Another method to get the ferrule to slide on is to put it into a cup of steaming hot water for a minute. This softens the plastic enough for it to slide on more easily (without drilling it out).

I get my ferrules started on the shaft and then heat them with a heat gun on a medium setting. Just a few seconds and the ferrule will go on easily by pushing it on with the head or adaptor. Using the head itself gets the ferrule on the correct distance from the tip. Obviously be careful to not overheat the ferrule or it will distort.

thought the bottom of the shaft needs a hole looks like you have a green cap on that, let me know if that ferrule stays on we didn't see any epoxy applied to that or the top of the adapter.. good info.. thanks

Is there a way to remove the screw (SDLR bolt) inside the 2016 M2 head? I have a shaft and the hole is .25mm big for the screw in the head. Just checking if it’s possible to fit a different screw in there before changing the tips? Thanks

You left the plug in the shaft so air can't escape when your epoxy fills the gaps, newb mistake :)

On the taylormade R1 adapter, are the .335 and .350 adapters the same, the only difference being a very thin sleeve within the adapter than can be removed to turn the .335 into a .350? Thank you.

Can I use a shaft from a taylormade R1 in a Taylormade M3? In other words are all driver shafts compatible as far as the end that goes into the hosel.

Hi. I have a Cobra driver. My Q is.....!.....What is the lowest loft/degree adaptors can be set to. Believe me!....I need a 5° loft. Yes five degrees. Lets not argue. Bryson de C use a 5.5°......probably custom built by Cobra. If you didnt know.....The late Calvin Pete who held driving accuracy nr.1 spot for 10yrs used a 4degree driver. I naturally hitball high. So I loose a lot of distance as result. Higher equals wider.....fact! Lower is staighter!

Lowest head you can buy is 9*....you can get a 2* sleeve so you can make it 7*. Hope that helps.

@@Godisnotjesus1967 Just put a long shaft on your putter and problem solved. Jokes aside, If you hit your ball "naturally high", then fix your swing. You're gonna lose even more distance from lack of backspin and lack of swing speed. You're not DeChambeau, you can't reach 140mph clubspeed to take advantage of a 5 degree head.
