In this video, we will show you the proper installation of a Copperloy Edge-of-Dock Leveler with a wrap-around transition plate and bevel.
Before starting, prep dock area for installation.
Next, lay the transition plate on top of the dock making sure both legs are tight against top and face of the dock.
Install 5/8-inch anchor bolts to secure the transition plate to the dock. When bolts are tight, remove nuts, cut bolts flush and plug-weld bolts to the transition plate.
Position edge-of-dock mounting plate centered on the face of the dock and a ¼-inch below the top of the transition plate. Edge-of-Dock must be plumb and level as required for proper operation.
Weld four 1-inch long welds evenly spaced across the top to secure the Copperloy Edge-of-Dock.
Insert handle into maintenance socket for safety and support. Weld two 2-inch welds at the upper outside edges of the mounting plate and plug-weld the outer holes in the mounting plate.
Continuously weld mounting plate to transition plate, being careful not to interfere with the hinge tubes.
Position bumper blocks and weld in place. Clean away all debris and touch up paint as necessary.
