Thanks for sharing your experience. Are your inverters feeding into 220 breakers? You could free up three CT sensors by only using one per inverter and declaring a 2.00 multiplier. I just got one of these and hooked it up a few days ago. I still have some fine tuning to do. It sure would be nice if the CT's were a bit smaller.

I was think the same thing. I only have one inverter so I was think that it should be equal on both sides of the 40 amp double breaker.

I wanted to add the same comment. For 240v loads I believe he properly used one CT to avoid being double counted although some appliances won't use equal power between lines, but I believe for any 240v inverter the AC legs should be approximately equal as well and may be setup to double count. I've been running the base system for about a month and just got a set of 50A sensors for individual breakers. This was helpful especially to see how solar inverters were configured.

If you get an Emporia car charger it will load share with your dryer so you can run both at the same time now that you have a vue.

Awesome thanks! Was wondering how to set it up for solar. Also a tip. Everyone look up flashing local software onto the VUE. It’s a lot more accurate and all stored local. As it comes stock, you need to use the emporia app. Which doesn’t even read your actual Vue meter. It gets its data from a Chinese server. Everything the vue senses, it sends to that server. Then it sends it to your app. So not only is it faster, but you won’t be spied on

Hey, I have one doubt and I hope someone can help. How can I merge or see only one circuit of solar but measuring both? Just to see Solar as a total. I know there's a parameter called "Circuit multiplier" that can be set it as '2' because theoretically inverters have same current in both lines, but I'm not sure if it works that way.

Yeah, it's in the instructions, or the solar supplement manual... I can't remember specifically but it was in there yes

@@BestEdmontonMall I dunno - I'm looking at the Solar Supplemental and page 5 is clearly showing Breaker = K and Inverter = L, which is the opposite of what's in the video... but that doesn't work. I just chatted with Emporia, and they actually said that the solar should still be pointed toward the breaker for the most accurate reading.

I'm a little confused, you have 3 inverters going into the same subpanel? thats new to me, but I guess since I only use 1 inverter for my house I wouldnt know.

It's normal to have more than one inverter, if your system is large. What's size solar system have you?
