Finally!!!! A “built-in” video that’s actually built into the wall!! So tired of the “built-in” videos that aren’t actually build into the walls. They just build in front of the wall making the room smaller. Thank you so much for authentic built-in video👏

Great use of space!

Like it. I would prefer the dresser to be the same color of the wall.

Looks great! Might have to build a couple for my 52' cape. Lots of wasted space upstairs

I'm actually tempted to build more upstairs

You have a 52’ Cape Cod. Please tell us about your futuristic house! 😉

Do you need to put insulation around the dresser unit behind the wall?
@LazyGuyDIY3 жыл бұрын
In my case, no, I didn’t. Our house is barely insulated as is, but that’s definitely something to consider and could be solved with r value foam board. But it would be really difficult to install without access behind the built in to set the foam boards and fit through the opening.

What a brilliant idea to make unused space totally useful. Great stuff man! And that doll...no thank you haha

Hahahaha! Seriously... other than a body... there are few things worse I could have found.

No drawer stop to prevent pulling to far out?
@iowac4 ай бұрын
Def like the video, tks, just wondering about a stop. One thing i dont like is accidentally pulling out to far.

I would've cut the space and measured first to maximize the width. Otherwise, awesome!

Thanks! The big thing was seeing where the studs were in a wall that was not to code, that sort of determined everything for me. Ha!

That’s a lot of space inside there

Kinda not sure how to do the actual build so this was depressing…

The box itself is going to be a different size for every space, but a super simple build. It's just straight plywood and pocket holes assembly. Two long outside panels attached to the top and bottom panels at the edges. Backer board nailed on the back and then shelves spaced as needed. Pocket hole and wood glue! If you need more info I'm happy to help.

@Lazy Guy DIY: I felt like this video was kind of rushed. Not all viewers are experts at doing house work. So an explanation of what tools would be needed before starting to work and decent pace step by step instructions (for beginners) would have been nice.
