A speed wrench is great for initial placement but I always go to a ratchet and socket when trying for a tighter fit.

Aaron, I would've sand blasted the frame first, then, PAINT the frame with BLACK APPLIANCE EPOXY SPRAY CAN. Yeah, you got to let it dry for 24 hrs., but it's almost as indestructible as powder coat and not as thick so you can see the hall marks. Doc P.S.,Use a 12" round BRASS punch to install the neck cups (in the center of the cups). STEEL to remove, thru the neck stem hole, catching the inserted part on it's edge.

I chuckled when you pulled out the speed wrench. I was looking in my tool chest Friday and saw my speed wrench. I’ll never get rid of that. Great video!! Are you going to Sturgis this year?

What year frame did you order? The neck forging looks like the '36-E'41, 25 degree neck angle. E'41s had the top frame tube bent at the Factory to give a 29 degree angle to prevent the 'death wobble' when running 16" wheels.. Then, about Dec., '40, (Mid'41year model) the Factory got the 29 degree neck forging so they didn't have to bend the top tube. The new forging has the speedo hole (under the dash mount) squared off, not angled like yours. You may have to run an 18" or 21" front wheel to prevent the 'death wobble" at speed. Doc

It’s the 25°, I’ll probably put one of the ride suspension dampner’s on the sPringer

Will be a sweet little ride. What do you think a 75 flh 1200 is worth that is all original unrestored condition?

Never heard of that, but there’s all kinds of stuff built over the years, I have a STD case shovel head with a 96 inch stroker Evo top end on it, going to build some kinda barhopping sketchy machine out of it
