you need to put something between the shifter and the body of the car to keep the noise and heat out of the transmission tunnel

Did you guys notice any additional nvh after the install? I have the same shifter installed in an e92 m3 and I’m getting slight nvh in all gears except 3rd and 4th.

Hey man I just installed this shifter and mine leans to the right side when I’m neutral is that normal still goes into 3rd like butter from neutral but leans to the right side, but when it is I’m 1st gear it is straight up and down any clue to why or is it normal to lean to the right?

would this same process also apply if the car is stuck in 4th gear before doing the switch ? my shifter literally broke so its stuck in 4th gear and im awaiting the new part, im just not sure if i start to unplug things with the car in gear if thats okay or not ? im assuming i have to have the clutch held in the whole time while doing the switch is that even feasible or ?
