I just wanted to comment that passing through the drives directly like this has a big performance penalty, at least in my system. The solution for me was to passthrough the entire SATA controller to the VM instead (I had proxmox installed in NVMe drives so I could actually dedicate the SATA controller. It might work for your configuration or not)
