Lutris' hidden super power is that it makes it ridiculously easy to install and play older games. Ones that do not have launchers, remember those :D With just a few clicks it sets up the prefix/environment and then you just install the game as you normally would. I recently got back to playing Red Alert 2, HOMM III and Test Drive Unlimited. All, to my surprise, worked with no issues. RA2 would not even start on Windows 10 the last time I tried it.

Yes Lutris is great - it took me a while to get used to it but now I can't go without it - I have a whole bunch of windows specialty software I installed through lutris and use it for all my non-steam games. Nice overview. cheers

Hey, sorry very off topic of the video but I remember a while ago you did a video on how to enable hardware acceleration on chrome when you were on Manjaro and I also think on Kubuntu and my question is, does the Kubuntu video work still for Ubuntu 24.04?

Yes, although it seems that hardware decoding is now enabled by default on recent builds of Chromium based browsers.

On linux mint and everytime i try to launch a games like sonic frontier or halo master chief collection the game wants to verify vaulkin and then closes back to the play button. i got some older games running like sonic adventure 1 and 2 but the heavier ones closes. but when i tried on zorin they actually ran but was a slide show.

So can I use Lutris to install alllll the pirated CODEC games Like Arkham Asylum onto my Ubuntu PC? I don't want to run games from Epic, Steam or Origin or Anything You you have to pay for. Just standalone games that have been pirated. And no, I have never pirated any games. I just want to know.

I LOVE linux and i use It, but the BEST distro for gaming IS Windows. Total War games,s performance IS horrible on linux, i ve tried with Ubuntu, arch, void, linux, opensuse, fedora. Native and proton. Sido meiers civilization games run better on Windows than linux native. I hate the true: Windows IS the BEST distro for gaming.

No, it's not. The web experience just looks better on Chrome, as echoed by many in the Linux community. Simply install extensions that block ads, and you're good to go. Firefox is clunky AF.
