Esp32 Core 32 on arduino will give you an error, i had this working on my machines till the update came, for now just had to go back to dore 2.x and it still works fine. OP should add a note on the board manager step of this tutorial till this is solved because a lot of newcomers will get frustrated, i come to this tutorial each time i have to setup a new developement machine and found this problem today. thanks for the tutorial anyway. is the best!

Ok Just trying to get this to compile and the TFT_eSPI examples are broken if you use esp32 boards 3.0.1. If I use esp32 2.0.5 it will compile and upload if I use the newer versions it does not.

Hi, very nice tutorial! I have just one problem. After succesful compiling and uploading an example sketch nothing happens with any of the examples, I just see a black screen. The back side of my board says LILYGO 2ASYE-T-DISPLAY, MODEL T-DISPLAY V1.1. Which board should I select in Arduino IDE ? There lies the problem I believe. I have selected TTGO LoRa32-OLED - not right apparently :-(. When I flash the factory firmware it works again, so the board is not damaged. Could you please point me to the right direction?
