I used this method to install the Rockstar Launcher too, I was really surprised when I found out about Heroic offering this simply by entering the name of the "Game" Really handy feature Thanks for the video

Was that for RDR2? Also curious if FiveM & RedM can be played on Linux? I'm a newbie to linux, only non-steam games I enjoy playing is RDR & Simcity 2013 (EA), (+ RS is required for Steam GTA5/FiveM), neither I could get running, can't find any recent vid tutorials, so feeling stuck on W11 atm (w/Recall, etc). Perhaps a vid suggestion @Matt

I've used Lutris for awhile now, but find I use it less and less now that I have Heroic. II think i'm just happy getting rid of at least one game launcher! loll.

I've always used Lutris (since close to when they first released) for Battlenet and never run into issues that being the reason why I've always stuck to it, doesn't mean others haven't but nice it gives others another option to choose from. Just curious to know why you find HGL better than Lutris? Looks like a good launcher though, maybe I'll try it although most of the time I don't like changing to a new application if the current one works me but I can always give it a try. Thanks for the video!

I think its mostly subjective I haven't seen any benchmark runs comparing game performance between Lutris and Heroic, I bet its probably negligible. Personally I like about Heroic that its extremely easy to use and you just need a few clicks and you're good to go. You get the same from Lutris once you know how it works I guess

Lutris has failed many and that's the reason i did this video because heroic has not failed anyone yet

very nice video! Unfortunately i does not work for me. but i guess this is just part of the linux experience :D i am just getting a "beige" screen. can hear the intro playing in the background but that's it

the only downside is that on lutris you get a battle net executable in Rofi and with heroic you need to launch heroic first before you can launch battlenet

@@Mattscreative yeah i know ^ but heroic does not have an option for that xD so i guess i need create a little code that uses the wine prefix from Heroic and let me run it without starting heroric first ^^

How did you get gamescope working? I installed the flatpak version, but Heroic launcher doesn't detect it

Simple Dont use flatpak it's buggy

After testing lutris was much worse and proned to issues
