@cOdMaSt3RR1999 Make sure you have development mode on - leave ip default - that is 169.254.0.1 (ensure this is what you are entering) - make sure usb cable is connected. if it still persists, reboot both pc and pb - try again if it still persists - uninstall ddpb, reboot, reinstall - try again if still persists - try ddpb from a diff comp. Still persists - wipe - restart. I hv gone thro crackberry for hours n I find random things seem to work, the most common fixes are these.

@Neldaga you have to make sure that you have dingleberry set to "dingle ssh" before you connect. before trying to connect make sure that the black command prompt (dingleberry ssh) is open, and that the first character is "#" without the quotes.

@ambergill22 Okay. Disconnect USB cable, Now tap the "gear cog" icon on the right top corner of the playbook, security - password - turn it off. Now go back to security - development mode - turn on - will ask you to set password do it. Leave "Development Address" as default "169.254.0.1" Now reconnect Your PC will ask you for the password - enter it Then Open DDPB and connect

If that does not work either, only option is to turn off the playbook, connect usb, error will pop up, hit update - that will wipe your playbook and update it to 6149... then downgrade and do it all over again :(

rooting is currently not possible bro but a lot of android apps are available without rooting... if you like the pb then buy it but dont buy it as a replacement for an android device :) Hope that makes sense :)

@ambergill22 . 3rd if you just compare OS alone QNX (pb s OS kicks Honeycomb) I have an acer iconia a500... same specs 1ghz dual core tegra 2, 1gb ram... but its not as smooth as qnx 4th the pb has great multitasking compared the android or ios 5th the flash support and even browser in general is superior to android.. in my experience if am in my house and i have my pc and playbook near and i want to chk smthing online, id choose whichevers near

@ambergill22 Bro, I understand your frustration... selling it today will probably get you your money back, you can get the mrp for selling it but id strongly advice you against doing so... 1st off yes there are issues with the android player, that is why this is beta and not a commercial release, 2ndly Feb is when bb is comercially releasing this and given android market wont run on it but a lot of android apps are coming to the pb
