Hey. Nice video. From the look i believe you have a 325XI. So by default you have the high beam as DRLs lighting low when engine is running. Does this wiring harness affect those?? or your disabled your DRLs

how'd you tap into the ignition wire? I think this part is rather critical; if you don't do it correctly it could keep the car from starting

u dont need to tap into nothing this things usually are hooked the position lights, not full battery i dont know why he hooked them up like that the moment u hook them to battery they should burn cause u get full 12v and usually they are 5v inputs like the small bulb u have there for position lights. if u tap into daylight lights is a goner again.

It’s not ignition it’s ACC, it’s the wire that gets power when the ignition is on. That’s not the wire that solely gives power to the ignition

melker winqvist Haven’t had any problem with them as of yet I do still love them. The only problem I ya e with every single set of angel eyes I have is making them stay perfectly in place because each set comes with the cheesy double sided tape.

My kit only came with 3 wires besides the lights - positive, negative, and accessory. I tapped the positive into the yellow and red wire, and the negative into a grounding bolt. I tapped the accessory wire into the footwell light, and now the lights only stay on when the footwell is on...nothing else. Any tips? Could I tap the accessory light into the red and yellow wire, and the positive into the main positive connector for “always on”?

connect accessory to your parking lights + wire. that will have them come on when the parking lights come on, otherwise tap it into the ignition wire (red and yellow) shown in the video if you're in an E46.

Can someone help! I hooked my halos up perfectly fine but when they couldn’t turn off I just unplugged the halos from the harness and the harness plugged touch a bolt it shut off all for of the halos at once now they won’t work. ANY ADVICE WILL HELP ME PLEASE. Should I just order a new harness or a whole new kit?

The red one is for the ignition Signal, without the red one the light wont work. The white is for the fade in Effect. Just put everything together (positive and negative and Connect the cable to the rings. After that u take the red cable and u go to the fuse box in the engine Bay and u search for a red/yellow cable, dont connect them yet, just try to put it at the metal From the wire in the box and Check if the Rings are working, of they dont u have to try another

I think it'll depend on how you connect them.

there's multiple ways you can wire them. You can wire them to come on when the key is turned, or you can wire them to come up with the parking lights. Driving has no effect on whether or not the lights will work, that's all down to how you wire them.

Not sure why but for some reason the connection to the positive terminal starts to generate a lot of heat and I've actually had these angel eyes drain my battery while the car is off, any ideas?

@@gustavovj unfortunately no, it melted the damn plastic box covering the positive terminal, and even burnt through the ring. I got a new box and just haven't connected the angel eyes since.

You guys have to be careful and install the angel eyes correctly, theirs been a lot of cases where E46’s catch on fire due to poor installation of the angel eyes. Im Not trying to bash this guy but from reading all the comments of the people who have came back after watching this video I wouldn’t try his method.

Yea you can def just tap into your corner lights but you would have to have them on to turn on angel eyes

@@Viidarr13 You have to make sure you get SMD LED. Not CCFL. CCFL are much less bright and also do bad in cold weather and will die in some time. SMD LED is very durable.

Hi guys i have a problem. I am trying to install angel eyes on my e46 320d 2000 and when it comes dow to wiring into the ECU box I HAVE NO red/yellow/white (accessory wire) wire . I only have RED with white stripe. Should i connect the angel eyes trigger into that red/white wire then??? Ps. I have european model of e46 320d 2000. I researched a lot and foud that there is only one option with coneccting the trigger into that red/whote wire... Anyone with same problem???
