Can u explain more in depth about the brake caliper I'm doing the same kit on my 90 hardbody but the caliper bolt doesn't align with the spindle it's just a little off idk if 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder makes a huge difference but both models use the same kit so I'm most likely doing something wrong
@FlakeGarage2 жыл бұрын
You have to reuse the factory bolt that came out of the spindle on the old assembly. The one that held that middle cross piece on the back. Not sure if I’m explaining it well but it’s what shows up around minute 23:35
@bruhmantioum5412 жыл бұрын

@FlakeGarage10 ай бұрын
Not sure, the spindle might hit on the wheels, 15s are always a bit of a coin flip, some fit fine, other rub on it and you can't use them

I may have missed it but what’s the difference from the drop spindle and loosing the torsion bars ?
@FlakeGarage2 жыл бұрын
Drop spindle keeps your factory suspension geometry and ride quality while lowering 2 inches. Torsion bars will affect your suspension and ride quality. Torsion bars is the cheap way to lower vs an expensive spindle

I have a '95 2wd and I'm looking to upgrade the suspension for a smoother ride. What is your suggestion?
@FlakeGarage2 жыл бұрын
I would look for some nice shocks that can accommodate whatever height you have on the truck. For a smooth ride you might want to get softer shocks. Also a good tire with a good sidewall will also help your ride be smoother. Low profile tires make your ride more harsh

Ok bro. I got my front and rear kit put in 4inch block s and 2 inch drop spindles ( got pull the torsion a little bit to get the front down more ) .. but here’s my problem. My tie rod end is rubbing the inside of my rim . Stock steely rims ( Side note ) .. so I’m thinking bigger rims is a must not going to work with the stock 14 inch rims .. but I also thought a spacer would work until I got my new rims in . So what do y’all think .. yeah I said y’all ( down south ) lol
@FlakeGarage3 жыл бұрын
You CANNOT use the factory 14" wheels with the new spindles. Getting some spacers might help but you definitely have to upgrade to bigger wheels to be safe. I think we missed that on the video itself but we definitely added it to the description above the tools list. 16" wheels will clear everything. Anything smaller might clear with the right specs but I'd recommend just going 16 and above
@junkyardhillbilly3 жыл бұрын
Should be riding like a Cadillac I just figured you would have lowered it a little bit lower but it looks good the way it sits but then you are running a 16-in rim so it's not going to come down much more probably go to a 15 in rim 50/15 that will get you down a little bit lower
@FlakeGarage3 жыл бұрын
Rides way better than the Mazda that’s for sure. We like the 16s right now so we are happy with the current stance. If anything maybe it’ll be dropped an inch more in the future

@@barrymonroy7138 Basically grab the big tie rod end and count 6 threads from the very edge that goes into the adjusting sleeve and cut those off. This will give you the extra space needed inside the sleeve to align. That's the easiest explanation I can give you. If you are still having issues, i'd recommend getting someone that knows locally to help you.
