In this video we show you how to install a Blink Video Doorbell. The Blink video doorbell is wifi video doorbell that allows you to remotely view the live video footage from your phone. You can also review the saved video footage from phone.
The Blink Doorbell has the option to be battery powered or it can be hardwired if you have existing wiring for your doorbell.
To install the Blink Video doorbell you will need a Blink Sync module. If you already have at Blink camera you can use the existing Blink Sync module to connect your Blink Doorbell to the internet. If not you will need to purchase the Blink Video doorbell with the Sync Module.

Attaching the doorbell to the mount is a little difficult but once it locks into place it seems extremely sturdy. kzbin.infoUgkxxHZwMa8CsRjYhf9s4W8w0Dwm47uytWOp I replaced my regular doorbell with this and hard wired it in, using my existing wires and mechanical chime. It works perfect so far and integrates perfectly with my blink camera system. It also works seamlessly with Alexa

As for as "Wired or Wireless", the doorbell is only powered by the batteries. If you connect it to the existing doorbell wiring, you can get it to activate your existing house doorbell.otherwise, you only get a chime on your phone when the doorbell button is pushed.

Ok, we had soooooooo much trouble trying to get bell part to click with the mounting. But I think I may have an idea.... When we took the "seal" off the mounting, the two pieces came together like a charm!! So, my husband and I are thinking the "seal" is actually just packaging and not necessarily supposed to be part of the mounting process.... I'm no blink expert, so take what I say with grain of salt. But, it WORKED ! Wish y'all the best!

My door and surrounding is plastic. I also rent so putting holes in the door or sides, I don't think my landlord will be happy. I thought you'd put a sticky back so I could stick it to the window part of my door which is in the centre. I have about a foot of wall each side like pillars. I'll see if I can drill into the cement part and hope people will see the doorbell as I have no door knocker and my letterbox flap fell off. I love the concept of this blink doorbell though and will get it once I've double checked my door and surrounding.

I was trying to dry fit the back onto the doorbell and could not get it to lock in place. I was ready to throw it against the wall and I realized hey customer support. I called them they had me take pictures of the doorbell and the plate and they are sending me a replacement back plate. They said the back plate could be defective and that it would be 2 to 3 days before I received it. My doorbell came with one indoor camera. So the reasoning for dry fitting the back plate. So I could set up the indoor camera. Just to mention you will have to buy the additional Module 2, that allows the system to connect to the internet through Wi-Fi, within it another $35, additional expense. I should have went to KZbin before I started my setup. I purchased extra cameras while they were on sale through Prime Days $15 each. No something has happened to the module 2 it is not linking to the cloud I'm fixing to search KZbin for help. Thank you for the heads up.

Important note. Even if you use it as hardwired - it still runs on battery. The hardwire only makes your old doorbell work. It does not power the Blink doorbell camera.

A tip for improving your video narration: stop saying "go ahead and..." before giving a direction. If you're narrating a direction, just say what you're doing. You don't need to say "go ahead and click add device". Just say "click add device". Hearing that same phrase "go ahead and" repeatedly becomes like nails on a chalkboard and makes viewers close your videos.

the small screws with kit went through the back plate holes and the wedge holes but then would not actually screw in. Any ideas?? its like they need to supply a longer screw???

This is literally the worst piece of worthless crrp I have ever bought. Probably the most obvious thing that shows that the developers never even tested their device in real world usage, is nowhere on it is written the words "doorbell"... nobody knows it's a doorbell... and the screws included to install it... literally a 2 cent item... aren't self tapping, meaning you're more likely to stab the screwdriver through your fingers trying to install it than actually ever get it installed. It does not have the range to be installed out by your driveway gate. More often than not, you're going to be recording tons of useless footage of yourself, and nobody else.

For the free plan, does it record video and delete after 24 hours? My camera was recording video upon first use, but now it is only recording motion detection. If I try to toggle on video recording, it says I need a subscription. I thought the camera would still record video/ take a picture?

*Everyone having issues snapping the doorbell to the mount* Do not remove the rubber seal, it is the weather seal, there are small hooks on the mount, once you push the doorbell onto the mount, push the doorbell down and the hooks will lock into their pockets!

A simple question: With the wireless system as you have put, what happens when someone presses the doorbell. Does your phone alert you? If you have Echo screen would that chime? Where is the audio 🔉 noise coming from to alert you? i.e. ding dong sound!?
