How to Install BMW Trailer Hitch // EASY DIY!

Today on JD Cars we’re installing a Curt Class 3 trailer hitch on our BMW X3 that we picked up on facebook marketplace for $500! I’ve wanted a utility vehicle for quite some time and the X3 is finally able to do it all! Plenty of space inside, roof rails, and now, a trailer hitch! Installation was super easy, and required only a few tools. I’ve already put the hitch to use hauling my Yamaha WR250R on a hitch carrier, and also towing a U-Haul enclosed trailer! Highly recommended.

DOOD! You're the man. Worked like a charm on my 2011 x3. I think a couple wire colors were different since I have a different generation, but it wasn't something a cheap light tester couldn't tell me. I've wanted a hich for years and finally took the leap and got it right on my first try. Thanks for the encouragement. Don't see anyone else telling you how to wire so never take this video down.

This thing has been great!! It's yet to be troubled by any vehicle and has yet to kill me 😂 Certainly an easier and less-expensive alternative to a full size lift

Just added a tow bar to my x3 to tow my mower to my grandmothers and other miscellaneous little things that don’t require my truck, now just to figure out if there’s a tow mode or what gear to tow in with the x3

Hell yeah! Respectable move Jeffrey. I've yet to find a tow mode, but I can usually do a better job of gear management than the car by using the "manual" shifting mode
