Nice one man. I bought the spring mounted plate holder from Dean Speed but it didn't have a place for the light. Kinda of a waste of money in CA where you have to have your plate lit up

I bet you can sell it no problem and make the switch! Just need to find a buyer that doesn't already know about this one! Haha

Great video man! What does your AA battery pack set up look like to power your license plate light?
@Jimbobbington5 ай бұрын
I just wrapped the shit out of it with electrical tape so it's all black and used velcro strips to stick it to the bank of the plate mount when I need to use it

@Jimbobbington Do you know if it is possible to put forward controls on Scout Bobber?

You mean like extend the foot controls farther forward?

@@Jimbobbington Yes, extend foot controls!
@Jimbobbington2 жыл бұрын
@EM Biker yeah man, I have them. Search for Free Spirits. It's a French company. They make 60, 80, and 100 mm extended foot control mounts. Super easy to install, don't require extending the brake line on ABS models at least. I'm 5'11" and have the 80mm and I love them.

Great vid, thank you! But noticed you refer to a lot of metric bolts as T6, T8 etc. just wanted to point out that T6 is a torx size, M6 is a metric socket size. May save someone from buying the wrong tools!

On my license plate bracket I have the plastic bolts. They actually unscrew. But have no head.. it’s the weirdest thing!
@Jimbobbington2 жыл бұрын
Wtf! It seems completely random which bikes got those.
Ok this is embarrassing, but has anyone found the 6mm bolts to be insanely tight? I mean, like enough that I can’t even move them with a torque wrench. What the hell am I doing wrong ?
@Jimbobbington2 жыл бұрын
Are you talking about the 2 underneath to disconnect the OEM license plate mount? I have gotten other comments about this. I'm guessing maybe Loctited on like crazy from the factory maybe?
@xtophermerchant2 жыл бұрын
@@Jimbobbington the T6 bolts on the fender guards that you remove first before anything else. I’ve been doing some research and apparently they put loctite on them. I’m gonna try with a break bar, but it’s insane that they are that impossible to remove.
@Jimbobbington2 жыл бұрын
@@xtophermerchant gotcha. I've seen more posts about that recently too. I'm guessing that was Change in newer models? I never had a problem removing those bolts on my 2021.
