It was a pain for me to download. It asked for more options.. like choosing OS. When choosing Linux, you have to specify from dropdown which linux, and there are many debian versions listed.. up to Debian 11. 12 wasnt even in the option,..plus lots more. When I chose Debian 11 from the option and proceeded forward, everything installed, took a very long time, and then went to a black screen with a blinking curser line. I dont know how to navigate with this.

I am an advocate for the words "go" "ahead" and "and". My clients have contacted me in reference to excessive service call-ins in this video. The complaint makes specific reference to the sequential format "go ahead and" being excessively inserted into sections of sentences where no words are required. In an appeal to fairness, I will point out that my clients have other responsibilites and that these unnecessary service call-ins are creating a hardship, certainly for my clients, but also for other sentences that require their presence. As this is a first complaint there will be no action taken at this time. However, this is to inform you that continued offences may initiate litigation where your attendance at a 3-month language course (conducted in Modern Standard Arabic) will be the requested outcome.

I have downloaded the missing files as DEB files and tried to load it into the machine and press continue however this doesnt work, i have done it directly in the root of the USB and within a directory named "firmware". I have also tried aborting the installation and placing the missing files within the "firmware" file on the bootable USB so they are not missing before the installation begins and it has returned the same message. Please any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thank you
@Digital-Scriptorium
@Digital-Scriptorium Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay I have been away. Try the below that I had ChatGPT create. Hopefully it helps. 1. **Download the Missing Firmware Files:** Make sure you have downloaded the missing firmware files (`brcm/brcmfmac43455-sdio.acepc-t8.bin`, `brcm/brcmfmac43455-sdio.acpc-t8.txt`, `brcm/brcmfmac43455-sdio.txt`) from a reliable source. These files should be in a format suitable for Debian, such as `.deb` files. 2. **Prepare a USB Drive:** You'll need a separate USB drive (not the one you're installing Debian from) to store the firmware files. 3. **Mount the USB Drive:** Plug in the USB drive with the firmware files, and mount it. You can typically mount it under `/media` or `/mnt`. Create a directory if needed and mount the USB drive to that directory. bash sudo mkdir /mnt/usb_firmware sudo mount /dev/sdX1 /mnt/usb_firmware # Replace /dev/sdX1 with the actual device of your USB drive 4. **Copy the Firmware Files:** Copy the firmware files from the USB drive to the appropriate directory on your Debian installation media. You should place these files in the `firmware` directory on the USB drive. bash cp /mnt/usb_firmware/*.deb /media/usb_debian/firmware/ 5. **Continue the Installation:** Now, return to the Debian installation process and proceed with the installation as usual. When you encounter the message about missing firmware, choose to load the firmware from the removable media (USB drive) as prompted. - If the installer prompts you to choose a driver, select the appropriate one for your hardware. - The installer should detect and install the firmware from the USB drive. 6. **Complete the Installation:** Once the missing firmware is loaded successfully, you can continue with the installation as usual. If you encounter any issues during this process, ensure that you have the correct firmware files for your hardware and that they are in the appropriate format for Debian. Additionally, double-check that the USB drive is properly mounted, and the firmware files are located in the `firmware` directory on the USB drive. If you've followed these steps correctly and still face problems, you may want to consult the Debian documentation or community forums for specific guidance related to your hardware and installation scenario.

You can certainly install it on a laptop or desktop as long as it meets the minimum requirements. You can find the requirements link in the description. If all is well then I for sure recommend dabbling with it. :)

Is it possible to install Debian on raspberry pi 4
@Digital-Scriptorium
@Digital-Scriptorium Жыл бұрын
Technically yes but Raspberry Pi OS is better optimized for Raspberry Pi's and is based on Debian. I have a tutorial video on that as well if you need it

If you haven't tried a different thumb drive I would try that to rule out some corruption.

Hi, i followed your Tutorial but came across a problem at the end. When the installation was completed I removed the USB Boot drive after i clicked on continue and then an error appeared. Something among the lines of "boot media not found", but I was already done with the installation. It's not the first time i ran into this issue when installing linux. Does it have something to do with my settings?

If you reboot the computer without the thumb drive now does it still error? Or does it look fine?

@@Digital-Scriptorium The error still appears. I will try to install it again. Maybe I made a mistake. I changed the mode from UEFI to legacy.

Were you trying to dual boot with another OS? That usually is a thing when dual booting.

Yeah. Hmm; it didn't work for me. At the partition stage it won't let move ahead since a partition of 528MB isn't optimal or whatever for performance, and that I need to go back, delete it and create it again. Never mind that I selected the automatic step. This is the type of crap that gives Linux a bad name and why people don't want to use it, except fan bois. Linux = garbage; I surprise my microwave hasn't blown up.

You need a college degree just to be able to download the correct iso file. My goodness what a puzzle. Why don't they make that easier: create a download page and place the iso there instead of this maze.

what is all this USB drives and burning? wtf is that?? someone said it was "image"? are you kidding me??? Debian hasnt gone past that yet? seriously, like on usb drives or cd? like in the 1990's? it doesnt have digital self-storage or can install itself from the cloud?? seriously thats so old.in the digital cloud storage world, who the hell uses USB drives or Cd's. New computers do not even have cd drives anymore. now yes computers do have USB slots for a mouse, but USB drives???? I mean how mny hundreds of USB drives whould you have putting everything on USB drives like a freaking 80s floppy disc????? seriously booting from usb drive or cd, well thats like saying you want to watch a hd movie: like, avatar 2 on your vhs vrc?? i mean cant we get away from the way microsoft makes us do things??? is it no so: most people want to use linux software like redhat or Debian to get away from that????? and the first thing you do to get linux is to take a page of downloading and installing is right out of the microsoft playbook??? isnt that what you do when you haveone windows and want to get the new windows, because MICROSOFT MAKES YOU DO IT?? LINUX CANT DO A DIGITAL INSTALL?? So lets copy the way we install windows to install Linux? can we get past that? am i wrong here? is there something im missing??

I suppose Apple computers are the only ones I know of that allow for a cloud based repository that they can download a fresh install. Really it would have to be some chipset supporting it on the motherboard of a machine.
