Amazing budget cooler. I recently bought i5 12400 and with stock cooler in cinebench R23 test my temps were hitting 100c on most of the cores. After installing this cooler and testing in cinebench my temps were averaging on 50c with max one of the core hitting 64c. These are amazing temps for a budget air cooler.

if it is on an AM5 motherboard when fully tightened, loosen off a little bit 1 or 2 turns as the AM5 socket doesn't like too much pressure

No come on...it can't be that easy to install!? 😆 That's the right size cooler I could stand behind. Just the right amount of cooling capacity for the CPU's I have. Generally between 35 and 65 watts. Probably cool higher wattage CPU's as well?. I'm thinking up to 95 watts? Great review as always from the Dynamic Duo. Take care guys. Cheers

I got the deepcool ak400 zero dark plus for my AMD4 Processor, And When I Was setting it up I was very confused when there were bags of different screws, Spacers and some other stuff. I had the right spacers but the wrong Screws and for some reason the AMD screw ones didn't came in with the Orange Spacers but in their own bag. So I grabbed the Screws for INTEL because that's the first one I saw when I was looking for them and the AMD Screws were hidden next to my keyboard. I was struggling for about an hour because the screw just goes deep down and won't screw in. Was about to give up until I watched an video and saw the screws were looking different and I was like "Wait a min there were another set of screws!" And Finally everything else worked out and got it to work and I'm glad I got it and saw the video too lol. I was kinda paranoid when I first got the package and setting it up because I never switched an Cooler and I didn't want to break anything but yeah.

Are this heatsink would fit to Intel CPU motherboards as well? I remember that I used similar heatsink on Intel CPU motherboard but made by Polish brand SilentiumPC. Now I also use AM4 socket motherboard but my heatsink is designed especially for AMD sockets, so it fits perfectly.

yes it will fit a wide range of processor sockets, but this install guide is just for the AM4 platform

2:03 what spacers are they? Trying to install this particular cooler on this particular socket and I have the ones in black that say "1700" on them. It does screw in but the bracket is completely loose when they are screwed all the way in. And they dont go onto the backplate firmly as in your video, so the only thing I can think of is the wrong type of spacers..

How would you best recommend going about installation if the motherboard is already in the case? I presume the back-plate would fall out if you lay the PC down, and it seems like it might be difficult to do standing up and holding the back-plate.

If i'm working (Adobe software) , occasionally one of the monitors blacks out for a couple seconds. And I've had my headphone bluetooth adapter turn itself off. So I assume I need a stronger PSU anyways. Just wondering if it can also cause overheating if not enough power is going everywhere.

It is very easy to install even if your motherboard is already inside the case. The fan is blocking the screw hole so you will need to install the fan at the end. It takes 2 sec to install the fan so I wouldn't worry about that. Hope that helps

Hi would this be able to fit in the thermaltake versa h18 case? the cpu cooler height limitation is 155 mm and the deepcool ak400 is also 155mm tall so im a bit worried if it can fit with the side panel installed.
