Isn't the UTP cable a little bit too thin, manufacturer of my gate motor recommends 17 AWG for photocells

no way man, you mention receiver , as long you wire the Tx , you are completely out of the question ! Fellows , dont give credit to that crap

what about the receiver? This is only the emitter. Also, you never mentioned about should it be in direct sunlight or not. Manual says it shouldnt be.

I think it is just a slip of tongue... it is a Transmitter (TX) and not a Receiver (RX).

No mention of fact they have to be lined up 110% nothing no lead up

It's not even external cabling, plus it looks like copper cladded aluminium. Misinformed and a waste of time.
