How to install front tow hook (Sort of)

Dude, your video helped 0%, nothing but words, any way, I just did this today in under 2 hours, drilled through the white foam, then the crash beam, then used a 12mm bolt with washers and spacers, added a reinforcement plate behind the crash beam for much more added strength, looks great, and is 100% functional, and I only have the lancer DE

OK, so I have a video that sort of explains, find it under "mitsubishi lancer tow hook front and rear", basically, you have some white foam, behind that you will find the crash beam (metal) you will have to drill a hole through the foam and crash beam, then try to measure the distance needed in order to buy a long enough bold to do the job, most tow hooks accept a 12mm bolt, Lowes has them at different lengths, so you get is slightly longer than you need, use some big washers to back it up or make it shorter, and then just screw in the tow hook. However, if you are thinking about the back, you might want to install a rear tow hook, which is different and does not require all that drilling, just bolting on under the bumper, if you send me the info of what year and model you have, I can find out what will work, good luck.

Ricer, because you told me to. If you're gonna make a video at least have the tools ready. A key is not a tool. If you're doing videos for the view/ers then at least show some effort. Trying to open the thing with a key and at the end never showing anything is not showing effort.

Hey brother, basically the tow hook comes with the rod with threads for you to scew the hook onto. its too too long so my father cut it for me. if you cant get that done you can buy a bolt from home depot and screw the hook onto that. Please like and subscribe if it helped :)

allen key will loosen it up.

an allen key should loosen it up, or completely remove the round part from the shaft if you unscrew it all the way.
